"Who the hell is out there?"
X continued controlling the turrets as he yelled at his technicians.
"It's Samhill sir, he took a boat and ordered a squad out with him."
"Idiot. If he survives I'll have to murder him. Someone tell Bask to round up the scientists and put them back in the cells. Have our buyers secured somewhere out of the way."
More turrets were activated and mines were deployed from dispensers hidden at the river bed. ***************************************************
"Nice shooting Con, remind me to have MI6 contract you more often."
Paul ducked as the speedboats behind them opened fire. Then started swerving to avoid the mines popping to the surface.
"I'm guessing we're on the right track."
A pair of torpedos were launched at the coast knocking a section of turrets into the water.
"Can you trace their exhaust fumes on the scanners? See where those boats came from?"
Another torpedo launched, turning back around towards the pursuers.

The pilot of the seaknight tried to sneak another glance at the tank sitting beside him.
David slowly turned his head for effect, and stared through the kid. If he could have gotten any redder then David was the queen of England
"What's that?" David asked, looking past the pilot.
"Whats what?"
"The fireball over by that- there's another one!" The man in the armor exclaimed, pointing to the left of the helicopter. The pilot turned and, sure enough, there was a small group of smoke trails leading into the sky. Normally, this would be strange. It was made even stranger by the trails of tracers coming from a... speedboat?
David stood up and moved to the back of the helicopter. He scanned the lakeside for what the boat was shooting at, and quickly found it. Or rather, found them. Several miniguns and what looked to be missile launchers lined the coast. It appeared they were made to shrink back into the ground after firing on their targets. From the pillars of smoke rising from a few, they didn't do their job very well.
Tapping a few recessed buttons on his helmet, David activated his binocular screen. He scanned the boat, noticing that one man wore a tux, while the other wore regular clothes. For some reason had spear guns next to them. "James Bond lookalikes..." He thought.
"Get me near that stretch of coast." David yelled at the pilot. From the sharp turn and new buffet of wind, he knew the kid had heard him. The chopper flew at treetop level towards the coast, trying to utilize every curve and bend in the earth to stay away from the turrets on the coastline.
David pulled back the charging rod on his MicroTavor with a satisfying click. Time to get to work. Well, depending on whether or not the tuxedo-wearing men would turn out to be part of the terrorist cell.

OOC: Con changed out of the tux. Check a few posts back.
IC:
"Shit!" Con ducked as well, abandoning the turret controls in favor of staying low and not getting shot.
"I'll try. Hang on," he said in response to Paul. He grabbed his PDA and got to work. "It's kind of faint, but there's definitely a trail. Bear hard left to avoid the worst of the mines, then keep going straight."

"Gotcha."
The boat turned sharp and pulled out of the way, leaving the pursuers little room to follow right away.
"Okay, we got a cave coming up. That's our way in."
The cavern opened into a small docking facility, one of many entrances to the complex. Paul gunned the boat towards the dock edge, the boat ripping out of the water and skidding across the floor before hitting a wall.
"Just a few scratches, a lick of paint should do it." He passed Con his rifle before drawing his own gyrojet handgun.
"Ready to make some noise?" **************************************************
Back up troops, carrying assault rifles, combat knives and stun grenades, spilled into the dock taking various positions around the room. The elevator at the back was the best exit at this point.
"Sir? We've got the targets pinned." ***************************************************
"Watch yourselves. These two are smart ones." X spoke into his end of the com.
"If it gets too hot move back to the barrack entrances and form choke points."

"You know it."
Con threw his bag over his shoulder and readied his rifle as the troops started filing in.
"Let's not get bogged down in here. Just cut a path to the elevator. It's probably programmed not to move without a password, so I'll need you to cover me while I get it moving."

"No problem, just keep moving."
Paul fired two shots from cover, the miniature rocket projectiles forced a group of troops to scatter.
"Now!" He yelled running towards the lift.
A forklift operator turned his vehicle around and raised the prongs trying to ram the pair.
"I got this one." Paul ducked under the blades and flanked the forklift, throwing the driver out and turning it towards one of the other entrances.
"That should slow them down."
He pulled open the shutter to the elevator and ducked inside providing covering fire with his Walther.
"So how long is this going to take?"

David Webb was tired of repeating himself. David Webb was tired of repeating himself.
"Yes, I said to put me down right inside that cave opening!" He yelled towards the terrified pilot. The young man had flown low and fast towards the suspiciously militarized part of the coast without flabbling, but he locked up when David told him to fly near the turrets.
"I- I can't do that!"
"Do it this way. Keep moving but slow down when we get close. I'll hop out and the water will break my fall, plus I'll be safe from any of those a$$holes with speedboats or chainguns."
Apparently the pilot was happy to do something that didn't promise him getting a few thousand rounds of armor piercing through the face, as he banked past a hill and headed for the cave. Well, hopefully it was more than a cave. David wasn't much of a gambler, though he was gambling now. He thought he had seen one of the Opfor speedboats come out of that certain cave, but it might just be sheer rock a few feet in. If that was the case David would be forever known as "that one idiot who plastered himself all over our secret hideout."
Rushing to the back of the chopper, David slung his rifle tightly across his chest and manned the single minigun the Seaknight had. It was loaded, thankfully, and worked like a charm for sending a few streams of tracers into one of the missle-looking turrets. The missle tubes all exploded in a good sized fireball, making David whoop with glee. Time to pay back those wannabe villains.
A speedboat and two more turrets were all David could manage with the small amount of ammo onboard, though it was enough to make sure no guns started firing on the Seaknight. David's radio crackled to life again, and the familiar voice of the pilot came over it.
"Uhh, jump whenever we're closest, please. I reeealy want to haul ass out of here." Smiling, the monstrosity in the back of the chopper leaped out, aiming for the cave, or rather, now that David could see in, the dock. Several things happened as David jumped. One, the helicopter was raked by one of the minigun turrets. Tracers carved a swath of destruction through the chopper, blowing out most of the windows in the cockpit and cutting several oil and hydraulics cables. White and black liquid sprayed from the helicopter as the rotor slowed... then stopped altogether.
David didn't see the pilot's fate, he had more pressing matters at hand. Having splashed into the water, He wasn't very surprised when he saw several speedboats moored to the hidden dock. He was surprised to see one that didn't match the make of the rest.
He moved quickly, scaling a ladder leading onto the dock proper like a monkey on tree. After taking cover by several convenient boxes, David pulled his glock from it's watertight holster and laid it beside him. After making sure it was where he could reach it in a hurry, he began disassembling his soaking wet Microtavor, hoping nobody noticed the splash he made, and ready to shoot anyone who did.
Hopefully, those two from the speedboat weren't gonna try to kill him. From the turrets shooting down the chopper, David thought the men who controlled the base were the enemy, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Con ran after Paul, taking occasional shots at the LADON troops, trying more to scatter their forces than actually kill anyone directly. When they got to the elevator, he quickly ducked inside and pulled out his PDA and chord. With his knife, he pried open a panel on the wall of the elevator, exposing the wiring inside.
"Hang on. This'll just take a couple seconds..."
He started plugging in his PDA. Con watched the PDA screen eagerly as the password-breaker did its work. Finally, he got in and manually overrode the elevator controls. After focusing on the screen, he barely looked up in time to see the helicopter crashing as the doors closed and the elevator started moving.

"Dammit! Sir, they took the elevator down and some lunatic just crashed a chopper. We're pulling back."
Stun grenades were thrown to cover the troops retreating towards the dock entrances, setting up portable riot walls and bringing in tripod machine guns to defend the hallways. ****************************************************
X started directing inner security from his end.
"Tell Samhill to bring his troops back in and kill the chopper crew in the dock. and get Guardian online, wait to see were that elevator stops before it's deployed though.
Guardian was a LADON weapon previously used to prevent escapes from the Village, a saucer like drone 7 foot in diameter with an armoured hull and various hidden weapons. ***************************************************
"Okay. Well that was quite the entrance."
Paul reloaded his weapons.
"Can you see where this elevator goes? We need to find were they keep the abductees."

"Sorry, not from here," Con said. "There isn't a terminal to the main network in here, and the signal's too weak to access the wireless; probably because we're underground. If we can find a computer terminal of some kind, I'll be able find everything we need, but until then we're flying blind."
He checked the PDA. From here, he could choose what floor they were going to, but there was no way of knowing which floor they really wanted.
"You probably know more about this base than I do. Do you know where we should get off, or should I just leave it up to Lady Luck?"

"The equipment here is pretty recent, but this place must have been dug years back. I'd heard rumors of a few WW2 bunkers around parts of africa, not all accounted for."
McLeod holstered his gun and took out a pencil and notepad making a quick sketch whilst looking at the floorplan on the elevator control panel.
"The important stuff wouldn't be too deep, they'd use that for storage because of the little ventilation down there, likewise it wouldn't be at the top in case of enemy bombings..."
"I think we should get off at the middle. If I'm wrong we can still find a terminal."

"What. The. Fu**."
David stared quizzically at several guards who were trying to setup what appeared to be a tripod minigun. After the dynamic duo had escaped into what seemed like elevators, David had waited for a break in the diligence of the guards. The terrorists were quick to form a defensive perimeter and begin digging in, ready for a conventional assault. David wasn't going to give them one.
Opening his backpack, David retrieved a frag mine. These were beautiful. Circular with a small keypad and motion detector in the center, the mine could fit in the palm of a person's hand. They contained enough C-4 to blow a whole in a man you could throw a dog through. Or blast through rock, apparently. They could be set on a timer, but Balance had upgraded them to explode on contact, probably as a result from David's debriefing after the Lake of Gold operation.
Now, though, David set the mine to explode when it detected motion five feet from itself, around the maximum effective range of the blast. The agent flung the mine along the ground with a flick of the wrist, sending it directly at the closest archway where the guards were gathering. The mine slid across the smooth floor towards the doorway and stopped just beside it.
"Shit."
David knocked his gauntlet on the metal box beside him, sending a small ring across the dock.
"What the fu** was that?" One of the guards asked. He and a buddy cautiously walked around the corner, M-4s at the ready. They weren't cautious enough, though as the mine exploded. The two guards were shredded by the shrapnel, while the one closest had burns. The lucky one, or maybe unlucky one, was farther away from the mine and groaned on the ground while clutching his thigh.
David sent a flashbang into the hallway past the wounded man and charged forward. Turning the corner, David delivered a elbow slash to the one guard still standing and finished him with a burst from his Microtavor. Three more lay in various states of confusion on the ground. David didn't have time to study them, however, as one of the chainguns opened up on him.
Diving behind another pallate of boxes, David returned fire with a burst from his rifle. The man working the heavy weapon cursed and clutched his hand, then reached for his sidearm. David hit him with the last of his clip, then watched as the man crumpled to the ground. Taking the lull for all it was worth, he rushed to the elevator doors beside the ones the two men had gone through earlier.
David used all the power the suit gave him to rip the doors open before leaping into the dark, empty shaft.

David would then however hear a curious sound, something like a speedboat, coming up behind him, and a loud "Yeehaw" as a crash explodes just next to the elevator doors. Then a figure would burst through, his momentum following him from the boat crash, the ripped open doors, and would grip the elevator cable.
"Well isn't this just peachy, we got us a J.O.T.E.I.E. wanna be" I say out loud as I loosen my grip on the cable and zoom down, following the exoskeleton clad man, "Lets hope your a challenge!" I shout as I open fire with my rifle at the man.
OOC: Hes a bit crazy when it comes to fighting.

Landing and rolling on a rising elevator wasn't hard, but dodging the burst of tracers that flew past David was.
"WHAT THE FU**?" He thought, switching to thermal and looking at the man while raising his Microtavor . At this range it would be hard for either party to miss, though David had the physical and (hopefully) phycological edge against his opponent. The suit usually came off scary.
"Whoah there, friend. Let's not do anything drastic."

Paul and Con had just got off the elevator on one of the central floors just as the shooting started.
"Hmm, lets see if we can slow them down."
Stepping back into the lift, Paul drew his Walther and shot the floor buttons for that floor and several adjacent floors, then pressed the button to send the lift back up. Stepping out again to catch up with Con.
"Okay, that should buy time."

I grin as I let go of the cable and fall downwards towards the rising elevator, "Friend this!" I shout before planting my foot into the man's armored head, my impact amplified by the rising force of the elevator and my downward force.
I land on the elevator as the man reels from the blow, "Hmm, I wonder..." I say out loud as I walk to the downed man.
I raise my armored boot and slam it down on his out stretched hand, and get a scream of pain, "Well well well, looks like I was right" I say to him before digging my heel in nice and good.
"Heh, I really was hoping for more." I grab my radio and hit the "talk" button, "Hey, stop elevator 3, we just got someone new to play with"
With that the elevator we were standing on stops.

Baskervilles, meanwhile, has placed the buyers somewhere nice and safe, and was rounding up the doctors and scientists, placing them back in their cells with the assistance of 10 or so barking hounds.
"All docs and guests secured, boss." he growled into his radio.

"How many of you crazy assholes are there?!" David yelled at the man. He swept a leg towards his chest and hit the other soldier in the back of the knee, forcing him down.
Using the small window of opportunity, David rolled backwards, then jumped to his feet. If the bastard wanted a fight, he had one. "Every time I go to a dark corridor I get hit in the head. By the time I retire I'm gonna be deaf and blind." David thought, pissed off as a rhino in a orphanage.
Adopting a defensive pose, the man in the armor waited for the red blob in front of him to try something.

OOC: Naw I was sliding down the cable.
And...red blob?
IC:
"Oh there are quite a few" I say before charging, dodging a punch from the man, and hitting him with a powerful uppercut. Before the man can react I spin and hit him in the chest with a strong roundhouse kick.
"Please, just drop it, I don't have time for this" I say before drawing my rifle and aiming it at the man, "That armor of yours can't stop 7.62s at point blank" I say as the elevator doors open above use and a squad of LADON soldiers aim their weapon down at the man.

OOC: Ah. Yes, red blob. Thermal visor. It's dark as hell in elevator shafts.
"Your holding a long rifle in a confined space with a Krav Maga practitioner. You usually do stupid things like that?" David said to the man, eyeing his stance.
It was then that a door above the soldier opened and several pissed off guards tried to find targets. "Damn you glowing visor!" David thought to himself before spinning and grabbing the man's bullpup. Wrenching it from his hands and hitting the magazine eject, David wondered what type of weapon it was.
"Not gonna wait to find out." He thought, drawing his pistol before being hit yet again in the chest.
A silenced shot went wild which apparently spooked the guards. Their weapons thundered and richochets flew throughout the elevator shaft. As the man tried a butterfly kick David tackled him, his pistol falling with a metallic clunk somewhere on the elevator below.
"Enough of this kung fu bullshit!"

X caught sight of Con and McLeod on one of the security monitors.
"McCleod? Heard they had him executed in Zargovia, damn Zodiac propoganda."
"Should we send troops down their?"
"Negative, I'll do this personally, have Guardian meet me." X stood and grabbed the box Tarantula had sent. "Bask? Go find Samhill and see what's keeping him held up."
X left the room and headed for the stairwell, heading down to meet the two agents.

"Rrrrrrrrroger that." Baskervilles replied, before he stooped down and pulled a sock out from a pouch. He'd stolen bits of clothing from everyone he could (read: everyone but X, really). He held it to the noses of his pack, his hand gripping their leash tightly.

from the other end of the corridor, Guardian hovered into view. It extended it's blades and started rotating quickly.
"Damn, haven't seen one of those things since..."
"The Village?" X stepped into view beside it carrying a custom handgun resembling a mauser.
"X."
"McCleod. Care for a little sport?"
McLeod raise his pistol. "Con, get to a terminal, see where they're keeping the doctors, I'll handle this guy."
Guardian suddenly charged, still spinning its blades.
"Duck!"

"Enough of this" I mutter out loud before grabbing the man's wounded hand and twisting his wrist into a wrist lock.
"You've held me up for to long, I have things to do." I say to the armored man, the wrist lock having dropped him to his knees.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Regno ~~~~~~~~~
"Thats done with" the man says as he hits the send button, he routed everything through about 15 million servers throughout the world before though.
He watches the video data he just send again, and his eye jumps.
"Alright then"
The man gets into a comfy position and starts his programs and worms his way into the base's systems with little trouble.
"Lets see what else I can find"
OOC: If you really want to change my character's storyline that much... Oh, and try reading over his profile, not to mention the last few posts.
David grunted in pain as the combatant twisted. Though not a master, the soldier was fairly well trained. Fairly well usually wasn't good enough, as David's spy handling experience had taught him. As the man reached for his sidearm, David used all his power to throw a elbow slash at the enemy's head. It connected around the mouth, and the man let out a startled gasp before falling to his knees.
Scrambling on all fours, David climbed to the far side of the elevator. As he reached for the familiar outline of his Glock, he heard a grunt behind him. Then the world went black.
OOC: Scorp, ya mind adding into your next post something about David being taken to your torture chamber? Or the fluffy pillow room, that works too. Gracias.
Fortune had indeed smiled on Baskervilles. His expertly-trained dogs had led him to the intruder. Or one of them, anyway. Of course, the agent who had called him a dog earlier was here, but he was a fellow LADON agent.
Bask patted Dante's side, as the dog pinned the agent to the ground. One well-placed pounce, and it was over. He walked over to Samhill.
"Agent, you okay?" he asked. He didn't honestly care, but hey!
Guardian flipped sideways, blocking the corridor between McLeod and Con, X retreated back into a larger room.
"I'm going after him, you find a terminal and see if you can help those doctors."
He chased X whilst Guardian stayed blocking the corridor. ***************************************************
McLeod found himself in a large machinery room, lots of noise and moving objects.
"So that's the new rocket pistol eh?" X yelled from wherever he was hiding. "Nice work, but does it have the versatility of my new toy?"
He loaded a capsule into his gun and fired, several needles embedded in the floor and wall as Paul dodged.
"and that's just one of many tricks."
"Just come out and fight like a man!"
"Yeah, taunts don't work on me."
Another capsule was fired, this one a smoke bomb. Paul tried to avoid the majority of the cloud and clear his vision. Meanwhile X had made his move for one of the many control panels, activating a crane arm.
"C'mon McLeod, just step out and I'll make it quick."
The claw dropped, smashing into the floor at Pauls last hiding place. Paul was crawling past a pile of crates trying to get a decent shot off at X.
He backtracked a bit to another hallway and started walking down it.
Best of luck, McLeod. I get the feeling you're gonna need it.
