OOC: Sorry, I had a bug on my PC. Mostly fixed now.
Hira, I had no clue you were Rei's bro. I've heard some good things about you.
Okay, now back to teh RP-ness.
IC:
Dodson was not amused as the vent came crashing down.
"I told you. He's not in the briefing room." the vampire hunter said with a sigh, never taking his eyes off of the rat-man in the vent.
"I'm going to guess that you don't need to be briefed now, do you?"

The ratman blinked, shifting a little in the vent. "...Well, we could still do the briefing if it would make you feel better." He said, before tilting his head a little, holding up the dossier. "...You're shorter than I thought you'd be." He didn't look too keen on coming out of that vent there, rather sheepish and ashamed at himself for having been caught, like a naughty child..rat..cub....thing.

Dodson shook his head.
"No. It'd waste time. I'll see youi at the airfield in 15 minutes."
Hey, Area 51 was an airbase, after all.
"Jack, you're not...." Keplar asked. Dodson merely nodded before walking off. Before Michael did the same, he put his hand on Sleek's shoulder.
"Bring a parachute. Dodson's going to be piloting something."

Sleek pulled himself out of the vent, giving a start and scooting away from Michael, looking up to him with narrowed eyes. "Uhhh, ok.." He mumbled, not really knowing what a parachute's function was. And, as the others walked away, he sighed.
"...I still don't know what the mission is..."

*2 hours later*
Most people had no clue that Dodson knew how to pilot aircraft. Anybody who had a clue didn't know that he could fly aircraft that could potentially break the sound barrier.
"Okay, so, long story short: get to Louis Armstrong Park and the surrounding area, and hunt down any Order personel, and figure out why they gassed those civilians." he explained as the SR-71 Blackbird sped towards New Orleans.
Dodson had explained to Sleek earlier that was the mechanic that the rat-man had asked about parachutes didn't know they'd be taking the Blackbird, and thus the safety device would be useless. If Sleek bailed out, they'd be going too fast for it to help him.
So they'd be usibng Dodson's safety device....

Sleek, meanwhile, would be pinned back in his rather plush leather seat, the safety harnesses designed for a much larger person not so much protecting him as barley avoiding throttling the poor little guy, his head only just poking out above the buckle of the "cross your heart" aircraft harness.
"We looking for anything in particular?" He asked, wriggling a little in his seat. "And what time are we landing? Is it gonna be dark?"
It was probably just as well he was stuck in his seat, really. While the boom as they accelerated had startled him enough to keep him quiet for 10 minutes, he'd been fidgety all journey, the little guy never having flown before, and Sleek was infamous for his childlike desire to push shiny buttons and flick switches. Worse, too, seeing as most children couldn't unscrew panels with their claws and didn't have a rat-like urge to gnaw through power cables.
"And isn't a team of two a little.. small for this job? You usually need at least 4 ratmen to secure a tunnel, let alone a park!"

Four black SUVs pulled into the parking lot of Louis Armstrong park.
The doors opened and spilled out fifteen men wearing civilian clothes. A little insurance policy Frank had cooked up to keep any agents watching the park guessing. The large group split into several smaller ones who went in all directions. One group stayed near the vehicles and began unloading equipment from the rear of the trucks.
Another figure stepped from one of the vehicles and began overseeing the activity at the truck, directing the five subordinates on where and how to distribute their gear. The man took a long object that looked like a metal detector from one of the SUVs and tossed it to another man who scurried away. The group began into the park with a load of boxes of all sizes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 Minutes Later...
Frank Harrison lounged on a bench, watching as fifteen men scoured the park with PMOLDs.(Personal Magical Object Locating Device) A new invention from Order R&D.
Grinning, Frank casually sipped from a blood pack. It wouldn't be long until the group found the stone Master Black was looking for.

Dodson merely grinned. It was fortunate that Sleek couldn't see it, otherwise, the ratman might've had the usual reaction to seeing Jack Dodson smile.
Said reaction was usually loss of control of certain bodily functions.
"We're supposed to find out what the Order's doing in New Orleans. That's what we're looking for. By the time we get there, it should be about dusk."
It was here that Dodson turned in his seat to face Sleek, a small, barely noticable smirk on his lips.
"Who said anything about landing?" ****************************************************
Meanwhile, one of the Order's men was searching the park, his PMOLD sweeping the area. Suddenly, the device dipped violently, the disc burying itself in the ground.
"I think I found it! Get the excavation gear over here!" he called.

Frank jumped up from his bench and began yelling orders.
"Johnson, Parker, get us some shovels! Finklestein, Wakowski, get the Groundhog!" Another new invention made just for excavating artifacts, the groundhog basically took a chunk of earth out of the ground as if a Godzilla had taken a handful of dirt.
Two of the SUVs tore across the park and stopped in front of the site where the object had been found. As ten of the men began digging a rough circle around the artifact, the other five, Frank included, took the two pieces of the Groundhog out of the trucks and began assembling it.
All hopes for stealth lost, the team worked as fast as possible to assemble their equipment and excavate the stone.

The cultist who had found the location began digging as well, scooping dirt out of the Groundhog-created hole with his hands. Seconds later, he pulled out a small wooden box.
"I....I think this is is it!" he said, throwing the lid open. There was a bright flash, and the man was turned to ash and dust. The box fell to the ground, and a bright blue stone the size of an egg rolled out. ****************************************************
Meanwhile, Dodson checked the SR-71's location. The sun was begining it's descent across the horizon as the Blackbird sailed over New Orleans.
"And we're right over the park." Dodson said, undoing his safety harness and standing. The recon plane continued on it's descent towards the Gulf of Mexico as the vampire hunter ripped off his partner's safety harness.
"Time to go." he said, placing his hand on Sleek's shoulder. The sun vanished beneath the horizon, engulfing the cockpit in near-total darkness.
And then Sleek and Dodson were on the grass turf of Louis Armstrong Park.

I manage to find myself in a park of some sort and I don't know what park it is until I see the large rock stone with a plaque on it saying 'Louis Armstrong Park'.
I hear the roar of a plane and I sense something.
"Blood...and malice against me,A vampire hunter? In this day and age? Impossible." I say to myself, looking around and smelling the air.
OOC: I was hoping since I could sense you, you could sense me too.

OOC: Not a vampire, just insane. Though I suppose real vampires could sense spilled blood, like from a broken blood pack.
Frank was slightly surprised by the death of the Order man, but kept his face impassive. He called to the best fighters of the group.
"Fiore, get your buddies and get a perimeter setup while we move this stone!"
"Wakowski, give me an assessment on that rock! What'll we need to carry it without killing everyone?" Frank boomed.

OOC: Corrected.
I move around a large tree and I see a large group of men excavating something from the ground and generally carrying more firearms.
"My my, Human Grave robbers, can't you leave the dead alone?" I ask them as I lean against the tree with my hands across my chest.

Sleek gave a startled little squeak as his harness was ripped off, looking confusedly up to Dodson. "Go where?" He asked... only to be interrupted mid squeak again as they suddenly poofed down to the ground, his fur frizzed up in surprise.
"...What the hell!?" He yelled, rather confused, looking around. "What did you just... wait, what happens to the plane now we're not piloting it?"

A thrown bomb hit the side of one of the excavation devices, knocking it over as the cultists scattered. Spy Slayer landed on top of the machine, retracting his arm mounted gliding gear and drawing his pistol.
"Here's a better plan Frank, you all drop your weapons and surrender while we wait for the proper authorities to get that stone."
Without turning he swung his fist back, punching out a cultist trying to hit him with a shovel.
"and that just cost you your one warning."

Split between the two newcomers, Frank knew he had to act.
"Wakowski, Davidson, secure the stone while I deal with the "hero"." Frank growled.
"Everyone else, get that wierdo by the tree out of here, then cover the other two." He added before picking up the shovel from the KO'd Order member.
Taking a few steps forward while twirling the sharp instrument, Frank watched as the man took out a charging cultist with a flurry of punches.
"I hope your O negative. That's always the tastiest."

Dodson, however, was already on top of the stone.
"So, this is what you're digging for, huh?" he asked, leaning over to grab it. A bang followed, and a small hole appeared near Dodson's foot. He looked up to see Wakowski and Davidson, both with handguns.
"Didn't expect tha-" Dodson said, before the two emptied their weapons into him.
Dodson's right eye became a blackened hole as a bullet tore it out. Another ripped his cheek open, displaying the teeth within his mouth, until another round shattered those. The cultists fired until their handguns clicked.
Dodson fell to the ground.

Sleek would have had trouble keeping up with Dodson, scurrying along behind him and keeping to the bushes as much as he could, not wanting to get caught in the light. Seeing Dodson jump into the hole, Sleek would be scrambling along right behind him, only to stop and hide himself behind a tree just at the rim of the hole as the two Order cronies came over...
Sleek would have been watching as they unloaded into Dodson, seeing it from behind as big ole holes were blown in hi. Sleek had big ole eyes, ears flat against his head with fear and, as Dodson fell over, a submachinegun in his paw...
He wasn't even supposed to have it - he'd swiped it from the equipment locker. But as Dodson fell over he gave a loud, furious shriek as leant out from around the tree, squeezing the trigger and spraying the entire clip into Wakowski and Davidson. He didn't even know if any of them hit, but with an entire clip he must have hit something

"You might write down your type for the paramedics to find you a donar"
Slayer fired his pistol at the shovel head, the impact knocking it against Franks face.
"We heard the bell. Round one."
He raised his fists in a boxing stance.
"Lets get ready to rumble."

Snarling, Frank raised his claws and opened his mouth in a growl.
"Take care of that rat, and get the stone!" Frank screamed at the cultists.
"This'll be gooood. I've had to drink from bloodpacks for days." He said hungrily before charging the man in front of him.

As Sleek's fire forced Davidson to the ground, the remaining cultists rushed the stone's location. Wakowski reloaded and aimed his pistol at Sleek, before noticing something...funny on the ground.
The cultist looked to the lampole nearby and to the ground again.
"That's odd. Where'd my shadow go?" he asked, as the other Order members reached him. They all likewise aimed their weapons at Sleek, before a cold chuckle could be heard.
"That was a very good try." Dodson's "corpse" said, rising to its feet. His remaining eye was as black as the pit, and it glared at the cultist. One of them felt something warm and wet rush down his leg.
A shadowy, almost liquid-like substance coursed around Dodson. It refilled the bullet holes, remaking his teeth and cheek. Finally, it filled in the missing skull fragments and brain tissue, before repairing Dodson's other eye.
With what could be called a grin, Jack Dodson crossed his arms, placing them over his throat, the backs of his hands facing the cultists.
"Acknowledging Knight's Templar Protocol. Hold limited release until targets have been silenced." As he spoke, the lamposts lightbulbs shattered, engulfing the park in near-darkness. Strange, luminous symbols began to glow on Dodson's skin.
"Fifth Circle, release." he said, turning his glowing palms out towards the cultists.
Wakowski fired at Dodson, the bullets blowing chunks from the vampire hunter's face. The wounds sealed up immediatly, as if the cultist had been throwing pebbles into tar.
"Now you're just pissing me off." Dodson said. In a flash, he was gripping Wakowski's gun. He forced it up under the cultist's chin, hooking his thumb over the man's trigger finger. He jerked his thumb, and Wakowski's jaw vanished in a crimson explosion.
"One." Dodson counted, as he drove his fist into a man's face, crushing the skull.
"Two." he said, jamming his thumb into a man's brain through the back of his skull.
"Three!" he cried, ripping another cultist's head off and watching it roll under a bush.
One cultist grabbed the stone (surprisingly not dying), and took off running. He made it to one of the SUVs.
"Acolyte Harrison, come on!"

Slayer sidestepped the charge and grabbed Frank by the wrist, twisting his arm around in a lock.
"Yeah, that just isn't happening maniac."
Forcing the lock further he slammed Frank into the excavator, turning to look at the Institute agents fighting the other cultists.
"About time they showed up." He muttered turning back to Frank. "I've got more important things to do than smack you around all night."

Frank barely noticed the execution, reanimation, and killing spree of the newcomer as he fought.
As the agent in front of him managed to grab his arm and throw him, Frank used his massive muscles to pick up the toothpick- like man and toss him away.
"I have better things too, a**hole!" Frank yelled before spinning and making a leap into the driver's seat of the SUV containing the stone
As the thrown man glided down on some flying contraption Frank pulled a handgun out of the glovebox and chambered the first round. He held the weapon with his left hand while grabbing a pipebomb with the other. As he primed it to destroy the groundhog, Frank screamed at the remaining cultists, disgusted with their performance
"If your not to busy with your thumbs up your asses then get in a car and follow me!"

Sleek kept on shooting until the clip was empty, not even waiting till the dust cleared to scoot back around behind the tree he'd been taking cover behind. He curled up in a ball, hugging himself and whimpering, eyes going wide as he saw the Order operatives move around to aim at him, paws shooting up to cover his face.. and, then, silence.
And then a whole lot of noise.
Sleek waited for several moments, hearing the screaming of the Order's men. He poked his head around the tree, only to squeak out in fear again as he saw Dodson not only back on his feet, but kicking ASS. Zombie Sorcerer! So, of course, Sleek ran, following the flow of the running Order men towards the SUV's. His black fur and clothes were near invisible in the darkness, and he hurled himself under it to grab on to the chassis for dear life.
And, rather fortunately, he picked the one that the guy with the stone had run into...

The remaining Order members piled into the other SUV as Frank and the stone-bearer drove off. The one in the driver's seat put the key in the ignition. Dodson, however, was faster.
A shot rang out, and the engine died. The driver looked up to see Jack Dodson with a pair of handguns equipperd, one of them smoking.
Dodson raised the red and blue-ish, brining them to bear on the cultists.
"Oh, shi-"
There was a lopud thundering noise as Dodson emptied the clips. ****************************************************
Meanwhile, Harrison's SUV pulled into a crop-duster's....

Slayer twisted in the air whilst being thrown and bent his knees to absorb the landing. Firing back with his handgun at Frank and knocking the pipebomb out of his hand. Luckily it didn't go off, but the explosives were leaking from the bullet hole.
"Well that was anti climatic."
Pushing off with his legs he deployed his glider and circled the area, watching the SUVs for which direction they'd head.

Dodson walked over to Davidson. The cultist was still alive, despite the gunshot wounds. The vampire hunter picked him up by the throat.
"SUV, the other one. You have ten seconds to tell me where they went before your windpipe gets crushed to the diameter of a straw."
"I don't-" he began, only to be cut off by squeezing.
"Cropdusters! 15 miles north of here! Order airfield in diguise!" he shouted. Dodson dropped him to the ground. Davidson was stunned, and regained his senses just in time to see the dark tendril shoot out of Dodson's shadow and leave a gaping cavity where his heart used to be.
Jack Dodson started walking.

A black SUV sped through New Orleans.
Frank had no regard for human life, and showed it every chance he got. He only managed to cause seven accidents before having to pull onto the sidewalk when he ran into a red light. People dove out of the way and bounced off the vehicle as it tore through everything in it's path.
"Please take your next right. Please make a U turn now. Please make a U turn-" The GPS system was cut off as a massive fist slammed through it. Frank Harrison yelled in a mix of anger and pain, cradling his hand close to his body.
Slamming the car into a hard right, the SUV almost smashed into a storefront, knocking down several street signs and making a early morning shopper dive for cover. As the truck sped up, Frank noted the airfield through the spaces in between buildings on his right. With only split-second flashes as a guide, he couldn't decipher where the gate was.
After a few seconds of this, Frank got tired and wrenched the wheel in front of him to the left, taking another hard turn that left the cultist in the back screaming. The SUV burst through a chain link fence like it was paper, pushing the large piece of metal in front of the car as Frank sped towards the airstrips two buildings. He again violently shoved the wheel to the right, earning him a drift of movie like quality.
That is to say, horrible quality. The truck, basically out of control, slammed into the side of a closed hanger. Glass shattered and flew throughout the cabin as the vehicle finally came to a stop.
"We're here."
