"You're right. That is rude."
Elroy took another drink and grinned a little.
"But rude's fine with me, so long as you don't turn anyone in. Jerald, this is Adam, I'm Jed. As I was saying, there's a lot of quick money to be made in a big town like this. To answer your question, Adam, lemme give you an example. See them folks just walked in?"
Roy gave a small gesture indicating Hiroki and his group, without looking himself. Being a card shark lets you get real good at not letting people know what you're looking at.
"You can tell, they're the ones with the money round here. Being the only ones with the toys'll get you that, whether you've got a bunker full of pre-war stuff or you're drug runner or whatever. But they're the kind always lookin for work, too, seeing as they've got money and don't have to do it themselves. So, if you're careful, it's as easy as gettin 'em to hire you on, give you access to them toys. And seeing as we're the type not lookin to stick around... well, why not take a few souvenirs when we leave, eh? Maybe someone in the next town over needs some fancy electronics or medicine. Gettin' my drift here?"
Roy looked between the two for some sign of affirmation.

Jerald smiled at that with a quick nod. He had something of a code of honor: never abandon a client you're escorting (unless one of you is about to die), don't rob a client you're escorting and leave them to die, et cetra.
But stealing stuff that wasn't nailed down when the client wasn't hiring you for travel? Perfectly fine.
You see, at his heart Engel was just like so many others in the Wastes: an opportunist.

Hiroki ears picks up on the conversation about him and work and so he gets up and walks towards them and pulls up a seat.
"Yes yes, I know I'm privileged but I share the wealth, most likely if you use firearms, the ammunition is from me in the first place, and I don't overprice on it either."
He says as he snaps his fingers to get the bartender's attention.
"Barkeep, a bottle of your finest whiskey and enough glasses for all of us, clean ones if you will."
The barkeeper nods and brings out a sizable bottle of whiskey and seemingly clean glasses, which Hiroki takes the cleanest and undamaged one first.
"Name's Hiroki Matsukaze, Arms, Medicine and ammunition supplier of the Midwest Frontier at your service gentlemen."
He downs the shot of whiskey in an instant after he's done speaking.
"I couldn't help but overhearing you gentlemen talking about work and my personal affairs." He says, eying Roy at the last part.
"I'm willing to hire able bodied men to protect a rather sizable shipment to the Union(Yes, weak adlib to the Enclave I know.) and I'd be happy to pay top dollar for your services, if you don't mind ignoring your moral objections." He says with a smile.

Adam didn't touch the drink he'd been bought and considered the situation a moment.
"Humor a non local Mr Matsukaze, who exactly are the union and what morals do we have to forget about? I'm usually very careful not to forget things if you catch my meaning."

Elroy nodded, playing along with Adam.
"Can't go into a job uninformed, y'know. Very unwise."
If Roy hadn't had such a good poker face, he would have had a grin four miles wide. The job was handing itself to them on a silver platter. Now it was all a matter of finding a weak point at the right place and time, and he'd be off with as much cash as he could hold.

Roy looks at them both with a astounded look.
"You're joking, the Union would be the remnants of the United States Government." He says, looking at them both still.
"Dangerous job, they'll be some raiders and mutated wildlife on our way there but...I assure you, you all will be rewarded handsomely, just provide your own weapons and supplies."
He smiles and places a slightly ruined briefcase on the table and opens it, showing it's contents to be full of cash.
"Interested?" He asks, with a smirk on his face.

OOC: Well you just managed to kill my entire plot, way to run it by me first on the off chance that was my plan.
Bah, I can make it work, I'm still peeved though, I haven't been able to get on long enough to read this since I got to my base.
IC:
The young man keeps his hand close to his pistol, ready to draw it quickly if need be. "It killed the cat" he says with a 'fuck with me and good chance you'l die' kinda tone as he turns around.
"You got a problem with my question making friend? Cause if you do, we'll end up find out who the cat is between us very quickly"

OOC: Sorry. I can still probably back away from a confrontation here if you want. PM me what you're planning.
IC:
Larry shook his head, and a sly smile crossed his face.
"Hey, just a friendly warning. I think I know where you're coming from." He scratched at the beginnings of a beard on his chin. "So, just between us, what's your interest in the slavers?"

OOC: not you, Kenji. IC:
"Revenge" he says coldly, "I intend to make them pay for what they have done"
He keeps his hand near his pistol, still weary about this guy.

Larry nodded knowingly. In one way or another, the slavers of the wastes had touched the lives of countless people. Larry owed his own life story to the slave trade, although in his case it had been a fight for freedom, not revenge.
"Yeah, yeah, I get that. What I don't get, is what you aim to do all by yourself. Don't get me wrong, I know where you're comin' from. But slavers aren't stupid, ya know. At least not anymore. If they're tough enough to survive attacks from raiders, there's no way they're not ready for one man with a gun and a thirst for blood."
Larry grinned. "You know what you need, stranger? You need a guide; a wingman, a sidekick, a hired gun. You need a local, somebody who knows the ropes and can watch your back on your road to revenge. For a modest price, of course."

Elroy steepled his fingers, smiling widely.
"I think I speak for everyone here, mister, when I say we've got a deal. When do we start?"

"Sorry, but I'm afraid I'll have to sit this job out."
Adam stood up and picked up his shield, finishing his drink.
"Not that I have anything against you personally, but weapon shipments just aren't my kind of thing, especially selling to the kind of people that had their chance and messed up."
He moved back to the bar, throwing his shield over his back as he paid his tab.

OOC: Don't worry man, I'm not planning anything huge, just alittle action to actually get the ball rolling. Besides you said it was a sandbox RP so I thought we had freedom to do things that weren't storybreaking. D:
Hiroki looks at Adam and scoffs.
"I understand if you're afraid of the union, I'd take you for a fool if you weren't but running away from such a prospect like this leads me to the conclusion that you're a total retard." He says and crosses his arms in indignant triumph.
"But, it's not like I can convince you otherwise, you're obviously adamant about your cowardice, well more money for this man right here then." He says, pointing towards Elroy with his thumb.

"And me." Engel said, rolling his neck with a muted POP. "So long as those weapons aren't used against me the second I hand 'em over, I'm more than willing to come along."

Elroy looked over to James as he left the table, frowning a bit. It would make the job a bit harder, maybe, not having an extra member... then again, a 50/50 cut is a lot better than a 1/3. They'd make due.
"Alright then. When can we start?"
Roy grinned widely.

Hiroki smiles at the enthusiasm of the two men and nods.
"Well, I'll need to get provisions along with ammunition for my weapon." He says, pointing at the rather large gunlance and shield slung across his back.
"If you have alot of time you find that you can make pretty nice weapons." He says, smiling as he activates his radio.
"I need about 50 rounds for my gunlance and 3 days worth of rations for 3 men." He says into his radio, the receiving end acknowledging his request.
"The supplies will be here in just a few moments." He says as he goes to the bar and pays the bartender, then comes back and picks up the briefcase and heads outside.
"Okay then gentlemen, let's wait outside while our supplies get here." He says as he steps outside.

The young man cocks his head a bit, some what intrigued, "The group I'm lookin for only shows up every so often, uses a bunch of ancient gear, if you can lead me to them, you can name your price" he says.
"After I get my revenge first, of course, and you can have your pick of the left overs" by left overs the man means the gear and weaponary.
He moves his hand away from his pistol and walks towards the man, hand out.

Larry shook his hand. "Sounds good to me. Name's Larry, by the way. Some guys call me Scary Larry." His eyes darted around thoughtfully. "I don't care for that much, actually." He reached into his bag, pulled out a rusty knife and started picking dirt out from under his fingernails.
"You mind if we get something to eat first? You know, revenge is best served cold, and all that."

After ten minutes or a thick plume of smoke can be seen coming into town, which upon closer observation can be seen clearly as a robot pulling a cart with a rather sizable amount of ammunition, all blanks and alot of MREs.
"Well, seems like our supplies are here." Hiroki says as he picks up the blank cartridges and loads them into his Gunlance.
He flicks a catch on his gunlance and it pops open like a hinge and the spent cartridges he had in there are expelled and the drum loads up new ones, he closes it and the six hammers cock back.
"Alright fella's grab whatever leftover ammunition that's left and grab the food, we leave immediately, due east." He says leaning on his gunlance.

Roy looked over all the stuff, feeling like maybe he was a little out of his league with all this. Still, you couldn't make the big money without making a risk or two. He grabbed his own portions, as well as some blank cartridges for his .38 (though he kept the live ones in for now, just in case).
"Any time you're ready."
