Supernatural/Crime Thriller RP

[Kan]

"Dude that girl looks F'ed up" I mutter.

[Ms. Cleo]

The girl giggled in such a demented way, it caused uneasiness in the two.

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know?" she teased playfully. "And there is no need for such profanity."

She looked straight at Justin, making his blood literally boil inside him, causing him extreme pain.

"And I heard that, too." She released him before anything permanent could happen.

Justin stopped cringeing as the child looked back at Jake.

"To answer your question---he is here. And there." She toyed playfully, making the Revenant's whereabouts unclear by indirectly responding to the question in a quizzical manner.

All in the room gave a little gasp as they turned around to find that she was now sitting on the edge of the table behind them, playfully swinging her legs.

"As for the other inquiry--I assume Lamayan has at least mentioned something about his rival? 'HIM'?"

[Scorpio]

"The juggernaut guy? Not much, I've been busy with my own work."

The detective badge starts shaking in my pocket, I hold it still with one hand. Can't draw any attention.

"Who is HIM?"

[Kan]

"Obviously not or we would have some idea of what was going on" I say at the same time Jake is speaking, while clutching my machete.

[Ms. Cleo]

The room began to get uncomfortably warm with the girl's presence.

"'HIM' is a great entity. I can say no more, as it is not yet time for you to know. Somehow, 'HIM' has aquired abilities stronger than can be comprehended. Maybe he sold his soul to the devil." She giggled, making it unclear whether that theory was a joke or serious.

She laid down on the table, rolled over and gracefully flipped round so she was lying on her belly with her elbows on the table, and her head resting inside her cupped hands.

"It would be in your best interest to try and find a way to help your friend, because as of now, he is an incredibly powerful servant of HIM. The dormant energies of Lamayan have been unearthed, and in the wrong hands, they have a great potential to wreak widespread devastation of epic proportions." She explained to them in a playful way.

[Kan]

"Well maybe if we knew where he was we could"
I say to the girl.

[Khallos]

Chezzy frowned some, padding over to the girl slowly and trying to pick her up by the "scruff" of her neck, and if successful he would hold her at arms length as if she was an unpleasantly snotty tissue. "Hey. The whole ethereal pinging across the room thing? Thats MY thing." He poked her, frowning some. "She Reminds me kinda of Lady Alice..."

[Kan]

"UH dude, I wouldn't do that" I say to the cat like man.

[Ms. Cleo]

As soon as the Chesire touches the girl, Chezzy finds himself completely on fire. The girl doesn't even look up at the man ablaze, and simply continues.

"As I was saying---Justin Inman, you have the great detective, Jake Angelo, to help locate Lamayan. He can follow the clues to find your lost Revenant. I would suggest finding his Kris blade. It is somewhere in this magnificent architecture. It has the unique ability to record events into itself, allowing you to see what had happened to your companion when he found himself unconcious on the floor of the library."

The ghastly girl with an English accent was obviously toying with them.

[Scorpio]

Darius seems to get bored and extends his arm blades again. I turn to Justin.

"You and your tin toy can back off. We don't need you."

My badge starts shaking harder. I struggle to hold it steady. I get back to talking to the kid.

"Any way you can keep these two busy?"

[Kan]

"Wait a second how do you know my name girl?" I ask her with a hint of surprise.
"Hell no I'm coming, if there is a chance of me finding Cole I am coming."
I say to Jake angrily.

[Ms. Cleo]

"I know quite a bit about all of you." The demonic girl smirks slyly. "And perhaps you do not understand. This shall affect you ALL, no matter what side you are on. The forces at work here and behind this all are far beyond imagination. This 'HIM' is really not who he seems. Unless you are too stupid to understand what I am saying, the things I have told you about this 'HIM' are fallacies."

[Khallos]

Chezzy was unperturbed by the fire, picking up the little girl anyway and trying to set her ablaze too, like some kind of revenge. To him, the flames were merley warm. "Nice Trick." he said. "But can you do this?" There was a ticking noise, and chezzy had just enough time to say "oh Bugg..." before he exploded. Odd man.

OOC: Gotta fly

[Kan]

"Just get on with it please and stop being enigmatic" I say to the girl.

[Scorpio]

"Listen kid, this is a serious job, we're not going killing. and whatever you are. Tell HIM that Jake Angelo is coming."

I grab onto Kammie and spread my wings.

"Kammie! Do it now!"

She phases us both into the wall. I fly through the house towards the room Polo used. Best place to start.

[Ms. Cleo]

The girl was growing tired of this cat man.

"If you do not cease touching me, you perverted pedophiliac, I shall banish you to the nether-regions of the space-time continuum."

Then Chezzy blew up in front of her in a comical way, obviously fishing for a laugh. The girl was unmoved, unimpressed, and uninterested. She looked back at Justin with an unsettling look.

[Kan]

"Oh hell naw you ain't leaving me here with this kid, Darius come on!" I race towards the direct Jake and Kammie, while at the same time bringing the spear to me by making a odd movement with my hand.

[Ms. Cleo]

The girl smirked once again and vanished.

As Jake and Kammie were flying, phasing through room after room, they just happened to turn to their left to find that the girl was actually following them, effortlessly flying parallel, going the same exact pace. But she was sitting in a cross-legged position and lying on her side mid-air.

"I hope you know what you are doing." She smiled.

[Scorpio]

ooc: You can attract that weapon to you Justin? I'm gonna have to ask you to not pull skills out of a hat.

ic:
"Always."

We end up in Polos room ahead of everybody. We just need to buy time.

"C'mon, where is it?" I scramble through Polo's gear

Wisp flies out. Those guys have a small amount of hypnotic power don't they?

"Little guy, distract them, we need more time."

Wisp beeps a few times and runs into the hall. He'll be alright, will-o-wisps are just sentient balls of light, pretty much invincible.

[Kan]

"Come on hurry up!" I yell as we near the room Polo was in.
OOC: I used it when the banshees where holding me, I found it as I was training with it last night.

[Ms. Cleo]

"I must warn you that his Kris has a nasty tendency to shock all those that are not it's owner. Ask Kammie, she was in his room when it happened." The girl giggled while sitting on the top of the tall dresser on the other side of the room.

She began reading Jake's mind.

"...I can sense that you are still wondering who I am and why I seem to be helping you."

[Kan]

OOC: Scorp has asked us to stop for a while. this will be last post of mine till he posts again or i need to post
IC:As we get close to the room a ball of light gets in our way, "Move please" I say as I stop in front of it, when it doesn't I run by it and into the room, but Darius seems to be stopped by it, "Wait there Darius!" I yell as I enter the room.

"Now then need some help?" I ask as I lean against the wall, arms crossed.

[Scorpio]

ooc: Can we take a break for a bit? I'm getting migranes, one more round for you guys if you wish but I'm having trouble writing.

ic:
"Damn, just pile on the bad news. Wisp kick his ass!"

Hope Wisp can hold those guys off, or lead them elsewhere, not like he can get hurt.

"You're giving information, cold hard fact unswayed by morality. Depsite any of my questions I should trust you."

[Kan]

I look to the wisp who has appeared near me, "I am not evil good spirit so I mean you no harm" I say to it and it seems to calm down.
I look at Jake "Calm down for once and think about something, I did not attack you when I came in here" I say to him.
I look around the room and I notice a handle sticking out of something, "You want to look over there." I point to where I saw the handle.

[Ms. Cleo]

"Oh my, I just realized--I forgot to answer that particular question from before." The girl said while floating down from the dresser and looking at Jake and the rest.

"My name is Empusa, and I am Lamayan's daughter."

Empusa disappeared in a great wall of demonic fire.

[Kan]

"Right...." I mutter as I look back out the room at Darius still standing there, "Come on in if you want" I say to him.
I walk back into the room and I notice they haven't looked where I pointed to, "Hey I think that sword your looking for is right here" I bent over to grab it.

[Ty]

OOC: Jeez, now I wish I'd logged on sooner.

IC:

"Wait." Darius stopped him. "I think it would be best if you do not touch that weapon."

"Why not?" Justin asked.

Darius picked up the Kris, and as expected, it shocked his hand, but he kept it in his grip.

"You can feel pain. I cannot." Darius turned to Jake. "I realize we have not been on the best of terms as of late, but it seems there is a greater force at work that would threaten all of us. I believe a truce would be in our best interests at this time."

[Ms. Cleo]

At the mention of the great evil force needing a truce on all sides by Darius, they saw outside of the window the bright sunny skies outside suddenly darken to thick, black clouds and a terrible thunderstorm descending upon the valley with heavy rain plopping up against the glass.

As Darius correctly predicted, something much more sinister was indeed gripping the land.

[Delacroix(Rei)]

I look around and the sky and all the ambient light becomes darker.
"What the hell is going on...?" I ask Empusa, "Best for you to tell me little girl..." I say.

[Ms. Cleo]

As Kammie tried to intimidate the girl, the lights in the room mysteriously cut off.

You should not threaten children. Crossed a voice through Kammie's mind. And I would think you would have at least SOME idea of what is transpiring. Or have you forgotten after all these years?
