Simon watched the rebels carefully. As they departed, he discreetly followed them back to their bunker. He stayed back in the shadows, avoiding detection. His mother always taught him it's rude to enter someone's house uninvited. He sat down a ways back from the entrance and leaned back against the wall, waiting.
Not a bad setup, he thought. I could get used to this...
Simon took a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, pulled out a cigarette and put it to his lips. He mimed holding an invisible lighter under the cigarette, and a small flame ignited from his hand, lighting the cigarette, then immediately went out. He took a few puffs, then stood up as he saw someone coming out. He couldn't be sure, but it looked a little like the super he'd seen earlier.

Staying back in the shadows I see the man light a Cig with fire from his hands, I immediately back away as the light flickers on me. I dissipate the ice glove and begin running from the alley.
As I get out of any possible line of site I form a whole armor around me and I create a ice slide up to the nearest roof. With the ice dissipating as I get away from it I begin look around and jump to the next build, and so on until I get to my home.
"Wew that was close" I sigh as I make the ice armor dissipate and go inside my small apartment.
OOC: with your guy's power ty mine and your guy are gonna be unable to work together, thats a change huh?

OOC: Yeah, I was thinking that. Come to think of it, a lot of characters in this thing seem to have extreme heat as one of their weaknesses. I'm in a rather enviable situation.

DC Grinned widely, lounging a little on her throne as she raised an eyebrow. "Ohh? Hehe, that time of the month again, ehh? Heh, well, I'm sure I can whip up a new batch special..." She looked down as the forms started printing out, reading the Summary when it was ready. "Ohhh... Hehe, now that is a nice present... for me, Sinny? Hehe, ohh, you shouldn't have..." She winked some, blowing him a kiss. Bizarre >.>
I'll have some of Dark Chocolates special sweets delivered immediatley... But, hehe, darling, we really should get together for a meal sometime. It gets so lonely up here." She fluttered her eyelids, giving a girlish giggle.. but unfortunately for DC her reputation proceeded her. When she said meal it was hard to tell if you were a guest of honor or an Entree. "Hmmm?"
And deep below, int he bowels of the factory, another one of the candy forges started up... the shipping crates, with Biohazard, Toxic and In Excess of 95% Sugar warning labels being moved over to it...
OOC: awr, sorry Val x.x cant really help you. Well, unless you REALLY wanna be employed by an evil living chocolate bunny that likes to coat everything in Evil Chocolate.

OOC: I'll hire you on. Stolen cash, of course.
Rob flipped through a newspaper, looking for current events. Stalks came over and pointed at a black and white headline.
"Hey, look! We made page 3!" Her eyes flipped back and forth across the paper. "'Dangerous insurgents destroy medical depository.' Huh. Since when do we use propaganda pamphlets and posters as bandages? They're way too coarse." She joked, and Rob gave a short laugh. It turned to a more serious half-frown.
"Looks like we could have used some bandages, though." He looked over at Eagle-Eye, real name Casandra Milton, who was lying on the couch flipping through channels on the tube. Her shoulder was heavily bandaged. "Maybe if we'd gotten some in time, our esteemed marksman wouldn't be down for the count. I'm going to head down to the Hangout to look for a hired gun till Cas's arm gets better. We've got plenty of cash since we knocked over that govt. pay car anyhow." He got up out of his chair and shoved his .38 into his coat. "Tell Dudley not to eat all the rest of the pizza."
Rob walked down onto the street and headed to the Hangout, a ubiquitous corner bar where they served anything you wanted, so long as it had alcohol in it. The bar itself dated back to the 20's, and during Prohibition it'd become a rather infamous speakeasy. Recently, the old back rooms and secret doors had been refitted for... other purposes. Rob walked up to the old barkeep, a Russian named Gorlav who'd been the barkeep here since dinosaurs roamed the Earth, he reckoned.
"Hey Gorlav. 'The skies are clear in springtime.'" Rob said, reciting the code for this month.
"Go ahead, Mister Ganes." Gorlav said in his impossibly thick accent. Rob reckoned it was for show, because there was no way in hell he actually still talked like that after 30 years of living here. Rob walked to a back door, flipped the fingerprint scanner out of the wall and pressed down his thumb. The door opened with a pneumatic hiss and he stpped inside. The interior looked much the same as the bar outside, with the notable exception of several costumed characters and a good deal shadier people. Rob sat down at one of the booths and ordered a drink.

"I'm afraid not rabbit. I'm...on a diet."
Sin clenched the edge of his seat, for a man who wanted to be a god he wasn't too tolerant of the unnatural.
"I have to get to some work now. An old friend of mine has resurfaced. It's time to complete my collection."
The Doctor turned in his seat looking at his pride and joy. The stuffed and mounted bodies of United Justice, just one space left for their leader.
**************************************************
Decker swiped his card in the slot before accepting his goods. Just because he was wanted across the ountry shouldn't keep him from living normally, in fact, it was a good time to catch up on normal living period. Before the war, he and his team where the poster boys and girls for Super registration.
"...and now, news from the front."
All attention was turned towards the huge propoganda screens decorating the side of a building.
"After several months, Moscow has finally fallen to our forces, solidifying control over the region. Iron-monger will be given an award later tonight for his work in storming the Kremlin."
"Dammit, just gets worse." Jack muttered under his breath.
"In other news, early reports of a rebel attack on a government facility have been denied by police forces. We are now told the fire was caused by a faulty electrical system..."
"But the dream lives on."
The hero known as Mr Molecular dissapeared into the crowds. Time to think, time to plan.

On the outside, Inferno was just another face pacing quietly through the crowded street. Inside, however, he was jumping up and down, yelling at himself.
Idiot! How did I lose him? That silver guy is the best chance I've got to make those assholes pay, and I lost track of him! So f***ing stupid!
He started to notice he was feeling warm, and stopped to take a few deep breaths. Alright, pace yourself. I saw him come this way. He can't have gotten far. He took another cigarette out of his pocket and put it to his lips.
"Need a light?" a deep voice asked him.
Inferno turned to see a familiar face behind him. Unfortunately, it wasn't the one he was looking for. It was the last person on the planet he wanted to see.
"Oh, I forgot. You already have one, don't you?" Butcher Bill cackled menacingly.
"I... sorry, have we met?"
"Don't play games, little man." He grabbed Inferno by the arm. "That's my job. You're not getting away this time."
"Back off, tiny. I'm not in the mood."
Bill laughed. He grabbed Inferno by both shoulders and effortlessly picked him up, holding him at eye level. Inferno grunted in pain as Bill started to slowly crush him.
"You obviously don't get it, so let me spell it out for you, you pesky little fire bug! No one escapes the Butcher!"
"Get f***ed, skin-head!"
Inferno reached out and grabbed Bill by the throat, his hand barely fitting around the Butcher's enormous neck. As soon as their skin touched, Bill's entire head lit up like a gruesome Christmas tree. He cried out in pain and threw Inferno to the ground. Inferno stood up and grinned sadistically as Bill tried in vain to put himself out. He looked like a grim Ghostrider mask as the flesh started melting off his face like wax. The crowd quickly scattered as the fire spread and engulfed Bill's entire body.
"Had enough?" Inferno mocked him.
Bill stopped his writhing. Despite the fact that he was now little more than an enormous flaming skeleton, he still stood tall. What was left of his face contorted into a furious expression. Inferno's eyes widened in shock.
"No man on earth will ever suffer as greatly as you will!" Bill shouted.
He stomped forward and swung his mighty fist overhand at Inferno, who ducked and dove out of the way just in time. Bill's fist smashed into the pavement, leaving a large crater where he'd hit it. He roared in both pain and anger as Inferno nervously backed away.

Val got up from his chair and his weapons to head out to the bar and see if he could drum up a job or two. He slipped on his jacket and headed out the door. At the bar Gorlav was still there. No code passed between them. Ever since Val had done that little favor for him there has been a mutual agreement. At the bar he orders a scotch on the rocks and grabs a chair in the back room. he had sat in this chair here for ten years. No one used it but him a perk of being a regular that paid his tab. Jenny came over with another drink for him as usual and they talked for a minute or two and she went back to work.

Karn walked around the area of the hotel, his men searching for clues, trying to track down the super. The only problem was that with the probable power of super speed, it didnt matter if he found anything, the super was likely to be long gone. He needed help with this one. He walked across the street in to a bar, he had herd there was someone looking for work around here. His spikes scratched the roof of the bar as he looked from side to side for anyone that looked like a mercenary.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rock slide moved along the street after the man who had emerged from the ally in front of him. He doubted it would lead to anything but he had nothing else to do. A large man cut him off, approaching the man from behind. a bit of a duel ensued at which point the larger mans head was set alight by the other. Rock slide sat back and watched as the batle continued, a bit surprised that the larg man didnt fal, if the other called for help, he guessed he'd step in. otherwise, hed just watch.

I heard the commotion outside, and felt it too, intense heat and rumbling. I ran over to my window and I saw the fire dude from earlier and what looked like a walking skeleton. Looking around and seeing no ones eyes looking to my window I form a full body ice armor around me and I jump from the window.
I land in the middle of crater, and in between the two combatants. I look at the skeleton and concentrate.
As the skeleton begins to move towards me after a brief moment of surprise the air around it begins to freeze. Soon, albeit with difficulty, all that is left out of ice is the skeletons head.
I stop freezing and I turn to the guy behind me and feel a wave of heat hit me, "Keep it cool buddy, you dont want to melt it do yah?" I say to him, with my voice altered as it passes through the ice armor, making it sound slightly deeper than it really is.
OOC: I dont know if I will be able to but I will try to get back on tomorrow, my mom is acting weird lately.

Inferno extinguished the flames, leaving Bill encased in ice.
"I had it under control... but thanks," he said to the icy guy.
"Fools," Bill said. "Fire... ice... nothing can stop the Butcher."
Bill groaned as his body started regenerating. Muscle tissue and skin began regrowing over his face, and he flexed his arms. The ice shell around him started to crack and break.
Inferno glanced up at the building next to them. He ran over and placed his hand on the brick wall, radiating heat up through the whole building. The cement holding the wall together started to melt and drip, and the entire building was slowly leaning over.
"You might want to move," he said to the newcomer.
He sent a final wave of heat through the wall, then ran out of the way. The cement practically liquefied, and the building collapsed into the street, raining a literal ton of bricks down on Bill, crushing him and pinning him under its weight.
In all the commotion and cement dust, Inferno fled the scene, seeking shelter in another alley. He kept well enough out of sight, but kept the ice guy in view.

I roll out of the way just in time as the building collapsed. As I rise back up I look around for the fire guy. Not seeing him I quickly dive into a nearby alley, desperate to get out of site before the 'police' or anyone from the resistance could see me.
As I slowly walk through to alley I notice the ice armor beginning to melt, I look around and see nothing. Figuring it is the fire guy I make the ice around my head colder, to keep it from melting and showing my face. With me dripping slowly I say to myself, "I shouldn't have gotten involved, stupid!"
OOC: Confrentation time for our guys, is yours with the resistance? If he is, try to get mine to join, or something, we need character developpment.

Rob looked around the bar. There were always a lot of mercs in here, freelancers looking for money. Most of them fought pretty exclusively, but others worked both sides. If you were looking for an especially dirty or dangerous job, those were the guys to hire. Unfortunately, they were also liable to be bought out with a better deal, but there was always that chance anyways.
He looked around the room. There were definitely freelancers, but most either didn't fit what he was looking for or were rookies liable to get themselves or, worse, his team members, killed. The one guy in the corner, though, might do the trick. He had a fairly solid reputation as a sharpshooter, which is what he needed. Probably expensive, though, but he had plenty of money to spare. He got up and sat down in an adjacent chair.
"Here for work, or for a drink?"

Noticing the effect he was having on the new guy, Inferno took a deep breath. The heat emanating from him subsided. He stepped out of the shadows and took a puff of his cigarette.
"It's alright, pal. My fault. I guess I need to get used to working with other supers."
He took the rebels' resistance flyer from earlier out of his pocket and held it up.
"I'm looking for that silver guy who took down Klown and Hollowpoint. I think he's with these resistance guys. Know anything about it?"

"No I don't, I don't trust those guys, matter of fact they don't even know about me, at least I don't think they do" I say, glad that the heat had been turned off.
"By the way, the name's Ice" I say extending a hand to him, while dissipating the ice around that forearm.

"Inferno. Good to know you." He shook Ice's hand. "I'm not sure that I trust the Resistance either, but I don't really know where else to turn. In today's world, guys like me tend to have a short life expectancy. I figure a gang like them might be able to give me some backup. And anyway, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?"
Inferno put the flyer away and took out his cigarette pack.
"You smoke?" He asked, then laughed. "Maybe that was a stupid question. Guy like you probably doesn't take too kindly to habits involving lighters."

IC: No sooner had the building collapsed, one wold be able to hear the steady noise of helicopters overhead - not police choppers, although sirens were approaching in the distance, but news copters. The forces of Evil's finest weapon. You could almost hear the spin-doctors already writing this up as another terrorist incident, a tragic loss of civilian life and using it as an excuse for more enforcers.

Rock slide kept well behind the two other supers, fire and ice. Pretty good. He thought to himself. he came down the ally, walking normally, his rock skin not active, and approached the two men.
"Hows it goin boys?" He asked with a friendly grin on his face.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karn watched as a man went and sat next to the one in the corner. He went and sat at a table nearby, his back to them, and waited, eavsdropping on the conversation. He might be able to use both of them if the second man was evil. and if he was good, well he'd otbid him and take him down. at least then he'd have somebody to fight. win win.

Vall looked up from his drink at the man sitting across from him. "A drink is good but work is better. Whagt do you have in mind? Hopefully something that pays a lot. He noticed others in the room casting him wary glances. "Get up and walk with me to where we can talk more privatly. To many people here looking for a job to." He was catching the glances wrong because they were turning to the spiked figure that sat a few tables down. As they walked further back into the bar they came to a room with a table two chairs and a bottle of scotch with two glasses. Val smiled a little "Aww she remembered." He shut the door and sat down at the table. A small cylindrical device was on the table and he pressed it. "Now we can talk freely. So for most who will I be working for?"

Doctor Sin, flanked by two of his gas masked troops, oversaw the delivery, the air transport full entering the building whilst a second full of captured rebels left for the prison. Two dozen barrels where soon unloaded.
"Careful, you drop one of those and not only will it take a week to replace, I'll make sure you won't even see the next week."
The barrels were loaded onto trolleys and carried to the anti-men labs, where the barrels where quickly drained into several vats. In glass tubes around the room Sin's anti-men where bred.
Sin stopped to look at the latest batch of 'ogre' troops. Seven feet tall, all muscle no independance, but as loyal as they where deadly.
"Um sir?" A masked aid handed the Doctor a portable viewxcreen showing the destruction downtown.
"Was the primary target responsible?"
"Umm, no sir....it was two unregistereds, and one of our units."
"So why did you think I'd care?"
"Well....it's just..."
"Time's up."
Sin raised his arm and extended several poison spines from his fingers, and with a flick of the wrist threw them into the aides throat, he died almost instantly.
"Clear the room!" The Doctor yelled, his workers dispersed leaving the machines on auto.
"The Hunger..." His jaw unhinged before he finished. Leaning down towards the body.
**************************************************
Decker punched the code into the keypad to enter the lair. Leaving his bag on the table and his coat on the floor.
"Activate isolation chamber."
The heavy lead door creaked open as the chamber warmed up. Decker lay down inside it.
"Please set timer."
"Four hours."
Only time for a quick rest. The door creaked shut.

Inferno raised his eyebrow quizzically. "Just peachy. Who the hell are you? If you hadn't noticed, this is a dark, secluded alleyway, not a public chatroom."
He stopped, noticing the sound of helicopters nearby.
"Sounds like I gotta disappear for a while. Anyone mind if we take this conversation elsewhere? Maybe that hotel down the street."

"As you can assume, we're not working for the government. Recently, our sharpshooter and support sniper has been wounded and we need a replacement. Judging from your reputation, I'd say you can handle yourself out there, right?" Rob leaned back and pured himself some scotch. "We're willing to pay you $5,500 a job. We're all experienced, and most of the stuff is just saboteur work. All we need you to do is make sure we don't die. Deal?" He took a drink.

Valentine nods a little smiling "I think that will be just fine. By the way if you didnt notice I am a super. Don't parade it as much as some of you freedom fighters do but I am one. Yea I will do the job just tell me when where and who might be there and i will have my equiptment ready for the show. If worst comes to worst I can hold my own in a fight but lets hope it does not come to that. I want 2,500 up front I will take the other three after the job is done."

Karn noticed the looks as the two men he had been eavsdropping on got up and moved away. After a few moments he tried to follow but found he couldnt get in for some reason. He went back in to the bar.
"Who wants a job?" He asked, multiple hands went up, "Allright... you, you, you, you, and... you. COme with me."
He led the 2 huge men, the wiry one, the athetic looking one, and the one with all the guns out in to the street. He set the gunner on the roof of the hotel he was investigating, the two large men at the door, and the other two inthe street outside dressed as regular civilians. They all watched and waited, in case the original super came back or the one from the bar came out. He'd like to have a word with him. Karn waited inside, watching the streets frm a window.
___________________________________________________________________
"Well i couldnt help overhearing that you two are supers, though it wasnt hard to figure out from the scene in the street. Im a super to." He turned his skin in to solid rock and raced down the ally and back in the blink of an eye. Then turned back again.
"Anyway, the hotel isnt exactly the best place to go right now seeing as how i just used my powers over there to get out of paying my bill... We can still go in there, il just run in to the elevator when you gus open it, they'll never see me. but still, im sure thier security is decked out now."
He grinned again. He didnt want these supers thinking he was any more experienced then them, if they did, theyd expect more from him. And he didnt exactly meet many high expectations. Besides, mabey these two might get him some dough.

Great a show off, I think to myself, concerning the new guy. "No thanks" I say as I look at the new guy. "I'll show y'all to a nearby back up apartment of mine" I say as lead them to the apartment. OOC: Dont have my guy dissipate the ice until I write he does. And zed, try getting an avatar and a sig, as they would make your posts brighter and easier to notice. and it would look cool

"Works for me," Inferno said, following Ice back to the apartment.
A little while after they left, authorities had moved in to motion the reforming crowds away from the rubble of the fallen building. "Move along; show's over. Nothing to see here," they said.
Suddenly, the pile of bricks in the middle started moving. A few fell down the sides, and a single bloodied hand thrust up through the top, much to the surprise of onlookers. Slowly, Butcher Bill pushed his way out of the debris.
"I'll have to get that tat replaced," he said, looking at his right arm. The skin had grown back, but the tatoo of the dagger was gone. Looking at his left arm, he realized it was dislocated. He grabbed the shoulder with his right and snapped it back in place with a grotesque cracking noise.
"Damn little fire bug," he growled to himself. "You can run, but you can't hide."
Just then, he noticed the onlookers staring awkwardly at him, a few covering their eyes. He looked down and realized what they were staring at. His body had almost fully regenerated, but his clothes had been burnt to ashes. He was now standing there in nothing but his birthday suit. He covered himself up and awkwardly headed for the nearest Big and Tall store.
