Welcome to the grinder marines. We are the Mobile Infantry we are the army. The bugs have been winning until now. With our suits and our damn fine men and women we will win this. This is the breif. You will drop using the pods into hostial terratory. Take it from them and stand on it and pay cash for it. There will be no pick up just dropping fresh supplies and ammunition. Remember no bucking for medals or I will have you out of my sight befor you can say sorry sir. "This is a bug hunt. Go down use your ammo and have fun.
These were the last words I heard from my sarge befor I Loaded into my pod and was rocketed to the planet below. I heard the order to load up. I got the shakes as I always did. "God I love this job." was all I could muster saying. This was my fifteenth jump. preety good if I do say so my self. It is my jobs in these jumps to get my men back alive. It is a lost cause some will always die no matter what. They strap me in it is uncomfortable but it keeps me alive at least for now.
I am in charge of this platoon. I was ejected from the ship a little faster than the others. I love the feel of free fall. Knowing if I die it will be before I even know I am dead. The capsul starts to slag off in the atmosphere. I began to tumble because it came off un evenly. The air brakes automaticaly opened and the ride got rough for a few seconds. They soon flew off along with a few Gs. The second set took off a few more. The first chute was next. It snaped off after only a second. The second one lasted a little longer and the third the longest off all. I was a few miles up when I decided I needed air. I hit the button and the straps holding me blew along with the capsul into four pieces. All of the slag and junk in the air helps keep the cap trooper Alive long enough to hit the ground. When I got A few hundred feet up I hit my jump jets and landed softly. I look over my men and women "Okay you bunch of dirtbags we need to cause a lot of damage and get out. We are out numbered as usual. Set your Y racks on automatic and mill around. There will be bugs. Lots of them they will be coming from every where. I dont want anyone bucking for medals. I will have you out of here before you can buy the farm. Remember squad leaders the recruites are your kids protect them and take care of them." Okay move out on the bounce and by the numbers."
I was the only one who didnt seem to be scared. I guess it was because I came to grips a long time ago that I was already dead and living on the militaries time. Remember your suits jump for a reason. Scouts take point and be our eyes Marauders get your weapons ready." I loaded my own assault rifle. It was so large that without the suit a man can bairly lift it. It dispached the bugs good but he still didnt like it. "Every one snoopers on now." I click down my snoopers over my eyes. The night was iluminated and I could see the bug town ahead. The bugs moving around it was sickening. My command suit was bigger than the maruder and faster than the scout. It was my job to live and keep my men and women alive. "Okay the reason we didnt plaster this place from space is because they have prisinors and we want them back. We are also going to see if we can find a few of the royalty or brain bugs while we are here." I moved forward. So far so good no contacts.
OOC: Please feel free to add your own charater. Mine is inchare og the drop. He is never refered to by his name it is never known. I have tried this rp other places and it has not worked because of smappers. I brought it here in hope of it thriving in the more mature audiance.

Private First Class Julio Cabeza was to ride down in the command shuttle during the initial drop. His blue eyes felt like ice to those who didn't know him. He had shaved all his hair off ever since he was eight. Now he stood at the position of attention waiting for the order to pile in the dropships. Secertly he wondered, if going down in the command shuttle was good or bad. The the word came down, instead of the command shuttle he was jostled into a shuttle with another MI trooper. An obvious Lieutenant. "God I love this job." He mutterd. "Ha, I have a girl for me, I think." I stuttered. His command suit was bigger. The initial drop was okay. I got a little sick but everything was fine. The moment we touched the ground the Lieutenant barked orders out. "Everyone Snoopers on now." he calmly said. With a flick of my head the snooper was on. The night illuminated by the florenscent chemicals that made it up. The bug town squirmed with activity. Perfect. I was trained in heavy demolitions. Just the right time to nuke them. "Sir?" I asked hefting the nuke luancher up. Then I heard him say something about prisoners. "Sir, bugs take prisoners, I believe in brainbugs, but them taking prisoners?" I called out in disbelife, as I put the Luancher away, and brought out my assualt rifle. "This is nuts."

OOC: You're kidding, right? I just got done with this book, in fact, it's right around here, somewhere... Anyways, yeah, great idea.
Lance Corporal Mastov was shaking again as he boarded the pod. Everyone had the shakes, and the man who didn't wasn't someone you wanted in your platoon. He counted off the thumps before his stomach lurched as his own pod was shot off from the ship. He could hear the LT giving orders over the com but was more concentrated on the fall. This was only Mastov's fifth combat drop (excluding the countless practice ones), so he was still getting used to the feeling.
He saw the shell melting away from his pod and turned on his snoopers to read the ground. Through the multiple red dots that were the pieces of slag falling off he could see the ground was fairly littered with targets. Bugs. He couldn't tell yet if they were workers or warriors, but in any case there were a lot of them.

ooc: wow, haven't read this in a while, I'll try it and if I can't get into the swing I'll kill myself off
After a rough landing I recieve orders to recon. "Scout Corporal Hendrix, moving out" I 'jump' ahead of the main group aiming for the higher ground, I raise my rifle forward and scan around. I make it to the to of a hill, I watch a group of workers scrambling in and out of a bug hole, they're up to something. "It's Hendrix, just found a bug hole to the east, lots of activity, but I don't see any warriors around just workers, something's not right, please advise" I wait for a reply.

I moved the men forward slowly. The bug city was close. We only had one chance. There was a hole close. I motion to the others to suround it and I drop a gas grenade in the hole. Luckly R&D came up with some beauties to help them. The new assault rifle was a godsend to. Made for Mobile Infantry hands it had the regular .30 cal assault rifle, the ever loved lower barrel 8 gauge, The blade on the handle and retractable one on the end was a god send. "PFV Cabeza I want you to take up tail end charlie with two others of your choice. Mastov I want you and your long rifle up front on point. You take that .50 cal semi auto sniper up front and scout. That is why I brought you. Hendrix I want you to do a quick sweep behind us I am not taking any chances on this run. Mark any holes you find." I turn to the rest of the platoon "This is not a traning mission so if little red riding hood should show up with a rocket launcher and a bad attitude I expect you to chin the bitch. Remember just because you have your mates backing you dont get comfey. Lay the fire down and if you get dug in you kick there f*cking teeth in. I will have no one buying the farm on this jump. Check your weapons and watch your fire."

"yes, sir, you two on me!" He pointed to two other privates behind him. "Okay, we are watching tail-end charlie, got it?" They nodded. "Okay, good. You see that mound over there? We are gonna check it out, I think its a bug hole. Come on." They appoarched the mound that was only fifty yards away. As they drew nearer Cabeza could have sworn he felt a vibration underneath his feet. "You, Chavez, on point. Go." The man to his right ran up a few feet. "Anyone else feel that-" Cabeza never finished his sentence. The ground erupted and a large bug came out from underneath the mound. "For the love of god! Every one back to the platoon!"
Cabeza had set a BCT record for his superb running abilities, he quickly over ran the man behind him. Unfortuantly, the bug let out some kind of flame that melted Chavez where he had just planted his boot on the ground. Climbing completly out of the hole the bug then aimed at Cabeza and the other man. Luckily for Cabeza it missed, but it sent him spinning backwards on to his back assualt rifle ricketting in his hands. He didn't mean too. He just killed on accident the other man. "Lieutenant!" He shouted, too close to use nukes Cabeza rad run out of ideas.

This was exactly what I did not need. "Everyone defencive position delta. Guard the hole from outward attacks dont worry about the hole itsself the tangle foot grenade is working for us there. Mastove about face and fire on that bug AP phosperous if you would please." I jumped forward and threw cabeza out of the line of fire. My assault rifle chattering away through the two barrel clips. My backup weapons not even thought of. The hand flamer and my own sniper rifle still strapped on in there positions. Small pops were heard as other members of the platoon joined in the firing. All they needed though was Mastovs shot through the head to bring it down. "HURRY UP WITH THAT SHOT!"

"Sir!"
Mastov peered through the scope. It was hard to get one of these heavy 50 cals into firing position quickly, so it had taken him a second. Luckily, these things were big targets.
Booooommm!!!!
The Rifle made a noise that can only be described as big when it fired, and it made an even bigger hole. The bug went down from a shot to the nervous stem.
"Sir, the bug is down. Proceeding to work down the food chain." Mastov fired another big round into one of the larger bug species.

This was a losing battle and I could already see that. "Everyone into the hole now I want marauders on point and tail end charlies even groups. Scouts in the middle." I had to protect the scouts more they hat the best eyes and legs of the platoon. My sharp shooters and scouts. The marauders were better armored. The sleepy looking ones who loved there job. Butchering. I grabed cabeza by the Y rack pulling him after me as I blew apart bugs with my assault rifle. We had four small nukes with in my group. They were good for clearing a lot of space quickly with no fall out. Surgical. "Cabeza arm and drop your nuke ten second fuse. Everyone else into the hole now!" 10. I jump towards the hole which was still a good distance away. 9,8 ,7 ,6 my men file into the hole one by one. 5, 4, 3, The last ones are in and I toss Cabeza into the hole after them 2 I land in the hole with a glance at the timer and a quick yell "Eyes closed." I did not need anyone blinded by a nuclear blast. 1,0 Boom. I felt the rumble and the hole closed above us. This sent a shiver down my spine. All I could think of was in achient human history of being buried alive.

"Everyone in the hole now" I charge back with the main group, a large pack of workers on my tail. I jump and use the air time to take shots at them. All you ever hear is 'Aim for the nerve stems' but with all those limbs flailing about it's hard to tell when one bug ends and another begins. "Ten second fuse" I burst forward, the last thing anybody wants is to be left outside. As I make it into the hole, I get pushed in further by the rest of the troops. Eventually the nuke goes off. It takes a second for my visual equipment to adjust to the darkness. "Sound off" the troops call out their names to check our numbers "Hendrix", I think we left a few behind.

Cabeza loved the idea of using one of his nukes...how-ever he didn't like the idea of getting buried alive.
"Sir, we're missing Ibanez." he said looking for his bunkmates undistinctable painted helmet. "Damn, I grew up with him." Cabeza narrowed his eyes. Then he pulled the back the charging lever on his AR. "Im ready to get me some pay-back." he said. Walking forward, "Levinson, Steyr stay close." He called out as his snooper adjusted to the lack of light. "I got contact...looks like some workers." He said "Might as well wipe out some infrastructure while we are at it." He opened up on the worker bugs, then heard the screams of warrior bugs, "I got one conventional rocket." He loaded it up, then waited for the first one to come out of a nearby tunnel, it never did, it came out of the one the muarders were travveling down. "Crap."

Mastov hit the dirt as the nuke left the tube. A short while later he felt the rumble of it going off and the brief but powerful sensation of heat from the blast. He looked up and saw the hole closing down. He stood up and shouldered his big .50 and poulled out a smaller 7.76 carbine. A sniper rifle was no good down in these holes. It was pitch black so he pulled down his snoopers.
"Oh shit... Sir, what now?"

I hate bug holes. Even the simulated ones in basic I hated. "Forward slowly. Close up all side tunnels with a tangly foot bomb and a regular explosive. Do not worry about killing workers they are no threat. Only warriors and so on." I took point. There was no way I was going to send one of my own men before me into this hell. I shouldered my oversized rifle and started forward. My whole body was screaming run away but I could not there were hundreds if not thousands of soldiers down here we had to get out.

Mastov picked up some sound as he was setting on of the charges on the walls. He listened closely for a second then a slight surge of panic struck him.
"Frying Bacon!!!"
Even as the words left Mastov's mouth and into the com, bugs appeared from the walls of the tunnel itself, showing themselves as red blurs of shape on the snoopers. The shape said most were workers, but he could pick out some warrior shaped bugs out of the rest of them. Mastov sprayed a couple of them with his hand flamer and began firing his carbine into the fray.

I only caught a voice before they broke through never what was said. I jumped backwards slamming into a warrior about to waste Mastov. I am lucky that I was able to customize my suit. The retractable blades I had added to the backs of the elbows and to the fists worked wonders here in close combat. A round from one of the assault rifles pinged off my healmet. "Watch your fire." I plowed into the bugs kicking and punching crushing them with my bare hands hating them more and more.

Cabeza realized the way of his error's. He had let emotion block up his training. "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" He fired a conventional missle down the side tunnel the bugs were coming from. It struck something or ran out of fuse because it denonated closing the tunnel. But yet at least two dozen warrior bugs had poured out of that side tunnel. "His snooper pick up an unknown red shape just up a head, like that of a slug. "Woah! Did any one else just see that?" He called out pointing straight ahead. He slung his Launcher, and pulled out his AR just in time, to save Levinson from becoming part of a three course human meal. "You can thank me later!" He said. "No problem." He fired into a crowd of warrior bugs as they ripped apart another trooper. "Lovely. Grenades?" He asked. Looking for the Lieutenant, he found him in close quarters combat with two warriors. "Chirst, sir!" he dropped a third and fourth bug that tried to sneak up on his mysterious leader. Then he took careful aim but forgot to zoom his snooper in. He fired and the round boucned off his helmet. "Watch your fire!" the man called out. "Yes, sir." This time he took careful aim but something flung him up in the air, which caused him to accidentally fire his shotgun attachment. Putting a hole in the roof. He spun, a warrior bug. He knew that the bug probably out wieghed him by at least a ton, but still he drove his boot in the the bugs mouth. Firing his weapon one handed. The bug drove its pincers inot his armor, but missed his leg. Soon it was dead. "Um, what now?"

I finish stomping the last bugs if you will call it a face in. I do not remember saying it but some said that I had later on I seemed to have mutterd something along the lines of "Rember the Alamo, Remeber Goliad." I grew up a 34 generation Texan. My family had been in texas since before it was freed from mexico. We had fough and died in every major battle form the alamo to the bug war. We may be gaining ground slowly but it still made me think of the alamo. Outnumbered and out gunned. I also remember that one hundred and eighty-two texans held off a mexican army of four thousand. "Now? Now we go get our boys back."

Cabeza smiled remembering Ibanez, "Ready to get me some payback." He volunteered for point guard but was declined because most of the muarders were still alive. As they sealed side tunnel after side tunnel he couldn't help but think of the large red blot that appeared briefly on his snooper for a half a second. "Lieutenant, I think there are Plasma Bugs down here some where." He offered with out thinking. Right now he needed a big explosion, something to calm his nerves.
Cabeza was from a small city just North of Rio De Janiro. His family could trace its heritage back all the way to when the a country called the United States sought to destory something called Terrorism. A worker bug scurried across the floor, "Ain't no way im taking that thing out." He mumbled reloading. He went silent waiting for the Lieutenant's answer.

I move my section deep into the heart of the bug city. It was crazt how intricate the tunnles were. We got lost a few times but made it down to the holding area. There must have been hundreds if not thousands of troopers held here. "Alright everyone get them out of here we will be around them in standard escort defence formation."

Mastov was walking slowly forward at point, his carbine stowed and his rifle out as they entered a larger cave. Many tunnels perforated the walls, making the whole thing look like what swiss cheese might look like from the inside. The tunnel they were coming exited onto a ledge about a hundred feet above the floor of the cave with a sort of ramp-type indent running down the walls to the bottom of the crater. There were a gigantic number of bugs on the floor scuttling around. mastov got a cold chill down his spine just looking at them. He set up his rifle but hesitated for a moment.
"Shouldn't we wait for reinforcements, l'tenant? Or nuke the lot of them? There's just... so many." Mastov said this with a great amount of fear; he'd fought bugs before, but there were far more in this cave than he, or probably anybody, had ever encountered.

Cabeza shook his head when they entered the massive inside a sponge-like cave. He heard some-one say something about nuking the hell out of them. "The Bringer of Light." Cabeza said snickering. "Well then, what about the prisoners?" Cabeza asked the sniper. Secertly he did want to say, "Screw the prisoners, let's just nuke 'em, most of them are dead anyways.", but yet Military Law required them to make at least an "attempt" at POW rescue, now, "Man, if only buggies could talk. I liked it better when they scurried underneath the fridge when you turned the lights on. Hey el-tee, how come the bugs on Earth don't get this big?"

I laughed a little as one of my men asked me about earth bugs "Because we squash the little fuckers before the start shit." I bounced down in to the cavern where the few warrior bugs were holding the men hostiage. A few quick bursts from my assault rifle left those close to me dead. "Bust those bugs but check your fire for POWs."

Cabeza smiled at the Lieutenants answer. "Yes, sir! He placed his AR on singe shot burst and aimed for the nervous system of some near by bugs for shots four kills. Thats when he felt something slice through his leg. "Ahhhhhhhhh!" He screamed out loud as two nearby Privates gunned the bug down. He collapsed on the ground looking at his wound on his leg blood poured profusely out of the hole. "Argh! Medic!" He managed. A warrior screamed up another ramp and quick volley of shots from Cabeza downed it. "If im gonna die then im taking a hell of alot with me!" He pulled a nuke out of one of his compartments but didn't arm it. He proceeded to create a barrier of bug bodies around him. "You want some? You some of me!? Well then come and get it while the gettin' is good you eight legged freaks!" He reloaded and sotguned a close by bug. Then he stopped fireing they wern't coming over his barrricade anymore. He sat and breath while his attempted to stop his bleeding. "Where the heck is the Medic already!?"

Mastov dropped his long rifle and broke out his carbine, using the combined efforts of it's burst fire and scatter gun to knock back the bugs. He saw Cabeza go down and hefted him by the y-rack.
"C'mon, buddy, put the nuke away. Your not gonna die yet."
He lended support to Cabeza and continued firing with his carbine. A couple more bugs got near and he toasted them with his hand flamer.
"El-tee, more and more of these bastads are popping up every second! We gotta find a way outta here... once we grab the hostages, o'course." He fired a couple more burst from the carbine. "We might not last down here much longer."

Cabeza put the nuke in his lap. His breathing was more stable now and the blood was ozzing not gushing as it had been. "Hey, Mastov, here!" Cabeza threw the man his AR and the extra ammo for the weapon. He drew his sidearm, a .50 Cal Fully Automatic Glock. He dropped a bug as it charged behind Mastov, then he had an idea. "Im closing the far side!" He called out.
Taking his launcher he armed the nuke, he propped the luancher on a nearby rock he took careful aim down the tunnel that most of the warrior bugs where coming out of. He fired. "Close your eyes and keep firing!" He yelled twenty milliseconds before the nuke went off. There was no sound for the first twenty seconds. Just a light. "That my friends is a prime example of human genius, thank god for Oppenhimer." He said after the blast wave occured.
He had desimated the far side of the caveren, but unfortunantly he set the bugs off on a prisoner meal. "Son of a-" he said as a worker bug scurried up to him. It felt his suit with it atenne. He suddenly realized it. "Lieutenant! They're using the worker bugs and Scouts!"

I had to get the prisinors out now. "Mastov You take the prisinors and get them the hell out. Congradulations section leader this is your first command opportunity if I buy it but dont get your hopes up." I took my place between the escaping prisoners that were streaming into the tunnel we had come out of following the marauders out. I was damn glad I was in a command suit. I had the three that were providing cover with me in a outward facing cresent moon with me in the middle face to face with the bugs. I guess my men and the bugs didnt expect what I did next. I had six tangley foot bombs on my utility belt. I smashed them open watching the orange mist rise and start to affect the bugs. I do not remember much after that. I took a knock to the head. *motions to the scar on his neck* They had to cut my healmet off.

Cabeza couldn't move and it looked like he was going to be left. A few troopers went by carrying the Lieutenant. He wished someone would carry him out of here. He saw the tangley foot bombs messing with the bug, "Thats it im going to die." was all he could say. He breathed a sigh of relief.
He secertly wondered how his family would take it.

From what I was told later on Cabeza was retrieved by two marauders Jachob and John bounced him back to the retrieval boat just as it was taking off. From there we got back to the ship.
