How did it come to this?
I stand with my weapon in my hand, looking around at all the shady characters I've had the displeasure to encounter. They all point their weapons at me and each other. It's a powderkeg waiting for a lit match.
In the middle the man who caused all this is crouched clutching the bloody stump of his wrist, his hand lying next to him still cuffed to his briefcase, both are worth a lot of money to the right people, and the wrong ones.
I wonder if these guys want to call it off and go home.
*************************************************
A little experiment in RP form, I just wrote a potential ending, now we work our way through the RP towards it to see how it ends. Variaty of characters, witty dialogue. Just like a Tarantino movie.
Rules - Try to keep other time skips to a minimum, flashbacks only. Or it will get confusing. - Present day city setting. Carson California, it worked in zombie RP. - The one handed man and the briefcase in the intro (or rather outro?) is a McGuffin. Doesn't really matter what's in it. First person to name the guy, we use that name, same for the first person to cut his hand off. - I know Tarantino collaborates with a lot of different viloent directors, but if somebody goes Eli Roth or Rodriguez or something, keep the gore description minimal. - No special forces or ex special forces. - Zed will not be here, the party will not begin.
Any takers?
Characters Grigori: Giles Enfield- Philosophical hitman. Scorpio: Paul Huffman- Bail Bondsman (bounty hunter) Khallos: John Khallos - British thug and representative of the Inter-City Firms stateside Ty: Raymond "Frostbite" Giovanni - Bodyguard.

OOC: This character's kind of based on someone I came up with for something else.
Raymond "Frostbite" Giovanni
A well-built, dark-haired bodyguard with a hidden agenda. What truly makes him dangerous, and the reason his employers both value and somewhat fear him, is that he is as smart as he is powerful, making him extremely dangerous. He got the name Frostbite as sort of a joke, as he frequently enjoys quoting his favorite poet, Robert Frost.
EDIT: Shit. Should've read Grig's post. Can we have more than one philosophical hitman/bodyguard?

I'll just watch this one unless any of yall got n idea for a character for me, I have never seen one of the guy's whole films, just bits and peices I would see Pulp Fiction all the way through. That's the only one of his I've ever really seen, but it's great nonetheless.

Grigs right Ty, you two should pair up and talk about the 'little differences'.
and Kanian, it's cops criminals and all points in between really. Be whoever you want as long as they fit into the theme.

OOC: I'd rather someone else posted before I did. After all, Khallos and his lads would pretty much be gatecrashing on the local Mob's turf, so.... Hehe.

OOC: The trouble is, the way you set it up, it's kind of hard to know where to start. Scorp, maybe you should post first, and everyone else can use that as an idea to start in from.

ooc: I'll edit something into this post later, I'm too snowed right now.
EDIT: Does this work?
ic: Several shadowy figures meet around a table, guns and cellphones laid out, a photo of a nervous looking guy in the middle.
"Why'd he run?" The first figure is cleanching his fists so hard his knuckles are going pale.
"We don't know yet, but that's not important, the briefcase he took contains a major cornerstone of my operation. We need it back by any means necessary." A second, deep voiced man replies.
"I can't be involved in this dammit!" A third man slams his fists on the table.
"Hold your tongue mister district attorney. If my organisation takes a fall, I intend to take down every part of it. Including our dealings."
The D.A calms down ".....What can I do?"
"By tommorow I want you to make him an enemy of the state, all resources you can spare tracking him. I'll pull some favours from my associates."
"Your God-damn thugs! I can't have a war in the streets! I'm due for re-election this month. Just find him." The first man storms out.
"Mr Senator.....say hello to your family from me." The second man says boldly.
**************************************************** Meanwhile
Paul Huffman drove his S.U.V along the suburbs, addressing a digital camera on the dashboard.
"A lot of people think 'bounty hunter'. They think Boba Fett, Dog Chapman, the A-team. But I'm gonna show you what it's really like."
He pulls up outside a somewhat cliche looking house, little swingchair on the porch and everything. Tucking a beretta into his sleeve and pulling out a delivery jacket, cap and a parcel. Paul addresses the camera before stepping out.
"Rule one, don't go in both barrels blazing. That'll get you and some innocents killed, and might cost you your license."
He steps out of the car and surveys the area. Scoffing at all that crap he fed the camera.

OOC: Hope this works with your idea, Scorp. Well, here goes...
IC:
Giovanni entered the office of his employer. He stopped in front of the desk.
"You wanted to speak with me?" he asked.
"Yes, Raymond," the man behind the desk said. "I received a message from a business associate of mine. He needs me to do him a personal favor. From the tone of his voice, I'd say this is very important. He seemed very worried."
"So, he delegated this little job to you, and you're delegating the job to me?" He chuckled lightly. "The reason why worry kills more people than work is that more people worry than work."
"I realize this is somewhat unusual, Raymond, but I wouldn't trust anyone else with something of this magnitude. Besides, I felt it was best suited to a man of your particular... talents."
The man opened the top drawer of the desk and pulled out a manila folder with a photograph paper-clipped to the front of it. The photo showed the same nervous-looking man as before. He slid it across the desk, and Giovanni picked it up and looked at it.
"This is your target. He was last spotted downtown in a cab heading for the airport. His credit card was used recently to purchase a plane ticket to Los Angeles. That plane is scheduled to arrive there tonight at 10 PM. Your assignment is to follow him there. I've already purchased a ticket for you on another airline. It's in the folder. You'll take that plane and arrive at approximately 11 PM. Find the target and detain him as quickly and quietly as possible."
"Is that all?"
"There is one more thing: he had a briefcase with him. Above all, that case needs to be retrieved."
"What's in it?"
"...I'm afraid that's classified."
"So much for trust," Giovanni scoffed. "You know, L.A. is pretty far out of my way. I'll be expecting a hefty bonus for this."
"Whatever you want. I'll replenish your expense account as well."
"Fair enough." Giovanni picked up the manila folder with the photo. "Well, if that's all, I guess I have a plane to catch."
"Thank you, Raymond. I was afraid you wouldn't be willing to do this."
"The world is full of willing people, some willing to work, the rest willing to let them."
Giovanni turned and walked out of the office. His car was waiting outside.

ooc: That's good, do it in whatever way you want though. By the way, first come first serve on naming the guy.
ic: Paul made his way to the front of the house and rapped twice. A man answers, his wife further back in the hall.
"How you doing this fine day sir? I got a package for you."
Without any hint or provocation, Paul hit the man on the head with the box, the contents making a smashing noise. His wife started screaming as Paul pinned him to the floor.
"Chill! Chill dammit! This is law enforcement"
Cuffing his target, Paul drags him out to his S.U.V and throws him into the boot, before getting back into the drivers seat and starting up.
"Rule two, public relations."

Meanwhile, at the California State airport, the new arrivals from BA flight 306 from London would be moving through luggage collection, slight grins on their faces. There would be the guy up front, slightly skinny and gangly but with a smart guy look on his face, flanked on either side by a black guy and a "square jawed commie buster", both of them looking like they could pile-drive a rugbyplayer... and a couple more of them bringing up the rear. They were all dressed in smart - yet not TOO expensive - suits.
"Nothing to declare, Sunshine."
