It has been brought to my attention that some people are confusing IC (in-character) and OOC (out-of-character) posts on this forum. While I really don't have a problem with allowing OOC posts in the IC forums, for example, I want people to recognize the difference between the in-character roleplaying posts and the out-of-character discussion posts.
Calling people "noobs" or "cheaters" and whatnot really shouldn't happen in the IC forum, for example. And if we really wanted to get pedantic, the term "PKer" shouldn't exist in the IC forum, either - a more appropriate term might be "murderer".
Beyond this, what someone says in-character is not necessarily how they act out-of-character. It's a ROLE PLAYING GAME, where people are given the opportunity to act as characters and be in situations that they otherwise would not be able to. If someone says something offensive in the IC forum, it isn't meant to be taken personally. If someone says something offensive in the OOC forum, however, that's a different matter entirely.
All I'm really asking is that people recognize the difference between IC and OOC posts, and please try to post appropriate posts in the appropriate forum.
Thank you. That is all.
