I got this one for Christmas. I've been in love with the Warioland franchise since I was a kid, and this new game got good reviews from IGN, so I had to try it out, and I'm quite glad I did. The game's pretty tweaked, in both positive and negative senses of the word. It's a nice throwback to the side-scrollers of yesteryear, and there are plenty of quirky boss battles, although I kind of wish there had been a few more. But the real surprise was the return of Wario's old nemesis and my favorite character in the franchise, Captain Syrup. The buxom buccaneer hasn't been heard from since her defeat in Warioland 2, but she's finally back. One can't help but wonder, what's next for this adventurous she-pirate? An appearance in the next Super Smash game? We can only hope.

Hehe, hrmm. Well, the only experience I've had with the Wario series is the WarioWare games, and those were always mental. Oh, actually, tell a lie, I remember borrowing one of the Wario games for a day or so and getting thoroughly stuck. Heh.
But if you like her so much I'm sure she'll turn up in one of the WarioWares they keep releasing.

For some reason, the whole of Warioware seems to have its own universe separate from the Warioland one. Different gameplay comes with different enemies, different characters, and even Wario himself dresses differently, wearing the biker gear instead of the plumber's suspenders.
