It's a little after the fact, but... I wanted to bump this board's activity to make sure I banned all the spambots.
So, I saw George Thorogood live in concert over spring break. It was a weird kind of fate, really. My mom had been looking for tickets, and gets a couple days before the show that two tickets just opened up. Front row, $50 each. Awesome. I could actually see the lines on George's face.
The show was sweet, even if the whole band looked like they just left the nursing home for a field trip. They all still played well, and George is still a showman and a total nut. He's still totally full of himself, but in a lovable non-jackass kind of way.
Plus, I rediscovered a deep cut of the Destroyers I hadn't heard in ages. The Fixer. God, that beat is heavy, man. It was stuck in my head days afterward. Look for it, it's pretty hot.
