Well, I've been thinking about the brain rot issue recently, especially about how it's permanent nature pretty much removes the survivor aspect of gameplay.
I would like to suggest a modification to the brain rot skill that would allow both hardcore zombie players and ordinary zombies to both experience the joys of brain rot without the depression of being permanently a zombie.
My suggestion goes like this: If a brain rotted zombie becomes a survivor, then technically their brain is restored to full operation (IE NOT rotted). In other words, it's just a fully healthy, regular brain again. Thus, should a human be bitten again and have the brain rot skill, it doesn't make sense that his brain should automatically become rotted, as according to the rot description such a thing is supposed to happen OVER TIME...your brain does not instantly rot as soon as you die.
So my suggested changes: Allow an option next to the brain rot skill which survivors and zombies can choose to check or not. Being checked means that brain rot is permanent, so that if you are revived and then die again you will still instantly have brain rot...which is the same as the current situation with brain rot.
Note that you can check and uncheck any time you wish.
Having the box unchecked means that brain rot is NOT permanent. Once you get revived as a survivor in the NT, then your brain rot skill is REMOVED. Should you turn into a zombie again, you will NOT have the brain rot skill and must purchase it AGAIN with 100 xp if you want to have its abilities again.
Note that if you uncheck the box while you are a zombie, you will still have brain rot. It's only removed when you have the box unchecked when you are REVIVED in a NT by a lab tech with NecroNet access.
This also has the added benefit of providing a use for xp beyond level 41/42.
The check box for this does not necessarily have to be in the skills page. It could just as well be in the settings page.
I know this suggestion is still in its preliminary stages, so that's why I'm throwing it out so it can be peer reviewed.
