Malton Defense Act
(or MDA)
The Malton Defense Act is more plans of organization and government than an actually battle plan. This will organize the survivors so plans can be better made so we can fight the infection. The first order of business would be finding people to lead the survivors.
We need people to are well known, and respected. We need hero’s. Who these people will be I have no idea, a vote could be established on wiki or some forum. This is how it will be broken up into.
At the head of everything. This position can be called whatever you like, President, King, Queen, Master, make up another name. I could care less. The “King” should have a body guard of 10 at the very least. They will equipped with revive syringes and ammo a plenty. They should travel with him/her at all times and should all be hunters of the highest order. This person is in charge of the other positions...Commander in Chief sounds good.
1. Chief of Military. Commands the overall military battle plans. Advises the King on what they should do, or makes up something themselves and get’s permission. General should have a small amount of guards equipped with revive syringes. The General will overlook all battle plans, and be in charge most if not all of the privates. He/she will be in charge of forts, Mall protections, general strongholds.
2.Chief of Medicine. The general of the doctors. Should be in charge of hospitals and doctors. Have a guard of the ones described above.
3. Police Chief. In charge of all Police Departments. The Police should be the ones that are called to do Revenge against player killers and should hunt them. Should have a guard. Should also do as much as possible with working with Firemen to keep suburb safe.
4. Chief of Scientists. In charge of Necronet buildings, and all revive clinics. Should operate out of Necronet buildings and around revive points. Should have a guard.
5.Fire Chief. In charge of all Fire Stations. Should be helping the public like the Police, keeping order.
Those are the main General’s or Chiefs that should be in charge of Most of Malton. Now it’s great we have those leaders. But Malton is way too big for just 5 people to manage all of that. So we break Malton into sectors. I haven’t fully decided what I will exactly do, but I want to make it so in each suburb there is a “Base Of Operation.” These would be large structures. Malls, Cathedrals, Mansions, Power Plants, anything that is larger than 1 square. I know that many a suburbs don’t have this. So Police Stations, Arms stores, or anything the leader of that sector chooses to be the main base of operations. I suggest that they choose radio towers, or larger buildings that can be easily defended. I broke Malton up into 25 parts. Each part has 4 suburbs in it. Each sector has a color (It’s possible to give it another name, whatever makes this easier). You can look at the map to see which suburb is in each color [insert map here]
Now, each sector will have a similar form of government. A fire captain. a police captain, a lower general, doctor etc. They will be in charge of the police, fire stations, hospitals etc. Unlike the Chiefs, these sector leaders are in charge of their sector only. They can offer assistance to other suburbs surrounding them, but should not leave for suburbs out of the surrounding area, giving assistance is the military’s job. This does not mean that no one can leave their sector, even if I wanted that, that would never work. It would be good to have a good strong presence of survivors in your sector.
There should also be Suburb captains. These are small positions that report on the welfare of the suburb. These should be broadcasted through radio (each sector or suburb should get one fixed one assigned to them) or text messaging to their Sector leaders.
Communication. This has got to be the biggest piece of my plan. Communication is vital for this to work. Malton is huge. Think of Malton as a body. Our Generals and Chiefs are the brain. The Sectors are larger body parts, arms, legs, abdomen, head, etc. Now the suburb captains are the bones, supporting the body parts which in turn support the brain. Now we need a nervous system so the left hand knows what the right is doing. We need the feet to walk at the same time, be in tune with each other so they can work smoothly. Scouts, runners, text messages, radio broadcasts. These messages need to get back to the brain so they can all make a decision. Of course, these are just limited to game. Wiki can also be an incredibly valuable ally and resource. A survivor forum (MDA or something like that) could be made and broken into sectors then suburbs. Chat rooms, AIM, YIM, Email.
Police’s Job
-Protect Suburbs
-Keep order around
-Hunt Pkers
-Keep Police Station all barricaded up.
-Keep Police Stations lit with power.
Firemen’s Job
-Protect Suburbs
-Keep Fire Houses up and barricaded.
-Make sure they have lights.
-Could help Hunt Pkers
Scientists Job
-Keep Necrotech buildings lit and barricaded
-In charge of revives
-Keep revives moving as fast as possible.
Military’s Job
- Protects Large buildings. Malls, Cathedrals, Power Stations, Mansions.
-Completely controls both forts.
-Should operate in large battalions.
-If a large battle is going to happen, they need to be mobilized.
-Be ready to attack, be on time with Raids, prepared to defend against sieges.
-Listen to Commander in Chief as well as Chief of Military.
- Should work like a real army.
Doctor’s Job
-Heal everywhere.
-Doctors should be assigned everywhere.
-Large buildings should have many available.
-Army Medics
-Keep Hospitals up and running, barricaded.
-General Support for everyone everywhere.
A Home Base.
We need a place where our Chiefs can be safe. A Strong Hold that will be the human symbol of survival like Caiger. I’ll explain my symbol theory later. This Strong Hold must be well choosen. When looking at Strong Holds I thought of things we would need. Well, a hospital for one. A place to stock up on ammo. Somewhere to get fuel, nearby Necotech facilities. However, until Forts are fixed with the whole body dumping problem, I think we have 3 choices. We can somehow retake Fort Perryn and make Pennville, Fryerbank, Wittonside, Miltown the “Capital Hill” of Malton. Giddings Mall is close and there are 13 police stations surrounding the area. And then the Fort itself is valuable along with many of the close hospitals.
Another area is Fort Creedy. The area a few suburbs away from about 4 malls. One in the only a half a suburb away northeast of the fort. There are also quite a lot of police stations around the Fort as well.
In this effort to find a suitable safe zone. I think we should have the regular policemen and firefighters due their duty, but then have a special Home Army. These soldiers would stick to this area normally or always in general. They should protect the Mall and The Fort. This guard would be the Private Army of the Commander in Chief. Troops loyal to the Survivor Leader.
Well...currently I am still thinking of ideas for this. But onto what how symbols can help.
If I create nothing else, I want to create a symbol. A powerful symbol. One that strikes fear into Zombie kind, and gives hope to all survivors. We need a legend like Caiger. But make it a human, someone who can speak well, who can inspire us. Someone to have the illusion of being able to take out every zombie in Malton without breaking a sweat.
Simply put...We need a Hero.
Tell me what you think of it. I am completely open to suggestions. And I know the biggest problem will be to get the people working together. Also, if this is kinda going on already, let me know. Idea's for Chiefs and leaders would also be helpful.
then again, a lot of this stems from thinking that the survivors are losing. I really have no idea who is winning, if anyone at all. So this is partly ignorance on my part. Sorry about that. And are there any groups that are actually doing this?
