Well, not proper vampires. The fear of crosses was purely psychological. The virus only makes them nocturnal and vicious. Although given the current rep of vampires they might just roll with a more zed like theme.

I'm looking forward to this movie. Even if it doesn't have zombies, it's probably zombie movie-esque. And Will Smith is an alright actor.

Yes, I'm really looking forward to this remake; I really loved the book (read 3-4 times)! Although I would've picked someone else to play the part as Robert Neville...
