14th October 2008 * A disturbing Flesh Rot is creeping across the bone and muscle of the older, decaying zombies, making them more resilient to attack. (This is the equivalent of having died with the Body Building skill and a flak jacket, and doesn't stack.) * Zombies able to digest raw meat have been seen picking at the fresh bodies that litter the city, to recover strength. * With survivors on edge for the slightest sound or disturbance, the crash of a transmitter being destroyed can now be picked out on a radio channel, and a building restoring or losing power will be noticed from adjacent blocks. * The scenes of battles and murders are looking a lot bloodier than they used to. * Mall drug stores are beginning to run low on useful pharmaceutical supplies. Unofficial Notes * A Feed on a corpse button is now available to zombies with Digestion when in the presence of dead bodies. When clicked, it gives the message You feed on the corpse. This costs 1 AP and heals the zombie by 4 HP, as would biting a living survivor. He friggin used it! How awesome is that?

Cool. Nothing that'll be totally game-changing, but it'll make zombie characters somewhat more appealing to play. And, I presume, PKer characters, too. ;D

Ohhh, congrats. I like that, it helps pick out scenes of recent carnage better than having piles of bodies (because, really, they're EVERYWHERE)
...too bad i dont play UD anymore xD

Does anyone here still actively (other than grigs) play UD?
I stopped when NW came out and was Christ descended from heaven because jorm actually made updates on a nearly weekly basis and cared about his game and balance...
Yeah I know that was a long time ago. Back in the ancient days of 2006.

I stopped playing UD when Nexus came out, too. Nexus got boring real quick, though.
I hate to say it, Rakk, but it could be that UD got boring because you play a zed. They really aren't as fun to play, unfortunately.

I started playing again in August or September. It's much as I remember it, but the game really does seem to be suffering from a deflation in players. urbandead.com/stats.htmlLess than 30,000 active. And 4 of those are me.

People are just trickling out. Even the diehards are just finding it to be getting old. Soon, Kevan's going to have to totally revamp the game or just lose everything.
Maybe, just maybe, it's time for the fabled TOTAL SERVER RESTART?
