Yeah. I was bored this morning, so i decided to inject a little life into this corner of the forum by making a new thread: namely, one where you can talk about all the big name games the developers are gonna dump / have dumped on us in the space of three weeks. Yaaay! Because, you know, having all of these in separate threads that just get about 8 posts just seemed messy And, in particular: - Dead Space
- Fallout 3
- FarCry 2
- Gears of War 2
- Left 4 Dead
- Red Alert 3
- Fable 2
Sequels ahoy! So, any of these you guys are looking forward to, or already have? I picked up Dead Space on the weekend, its a pretty sweet game. Really eerie, and the fact that theres no railroaded cutscenes and the game doesn't pause when you access your inventory means you're pretty much always in danger of being torn into itty bitty pieces - which you actually do see when you die. Its pretty.. uh.. graphic x.x Blech. Oh, also.. Who heres getting Left 4 Dead? And, heh, what for? Its looking pretty good, but i dunno whether to gt it for 360 or PC.. I mean, id probably have to finally upgrade my PC if i get it for computer so i don't fry the graphics card (again. ), so I'm tempted to get it for 360... but Ive noticed recently that Xbox Live have been CHARGING its users or just plain exluding them from updates that PC users get for free. Team Fortress 2 being a case in point. Unf.

I have deadspace and fable 2. I would like to play left 4 dead fallout 3 and farcry 2.
While I love the C&C series, I will wait on REd Alert 3.
I love deadspace it is pretty freaky, I played for several hours one night over the weekend, with the lights off (please note I have my TV and 360 in my garage) and even though there was a wall behind me, I kept checking over my shoulder just to make sure I had no dead things ready to kill me and cut me up in gory ways.
Deadspace, its freaky, gory and dirty environments abound, but if you want me to shit myself, all they needed to do was give me a clean almost sterile environment and I was freaking out as I knew it had to go bad soon. It was just how.
Fable 2 is fun, very open world, combat is intuitive and fun, the job system is repetitive but well like a job. The plot is... well the beginning was cool, I liked the childhood portion of it. Though I think you age just a bit too fast... but yeah the plot is interesting... not dead space or mass effect quality and some of the writing is special. But that is not the point.

Absolutely Left 4 Dead, it may be short but god freaking damn it changes.
The AI in the system of that game is top of the line, no level is the same (Thanks to the AI in that game called "The Director").
The zombies can either rush you every waking second of the game or you won't see one for a while.
Weapons can be plenty or scarce.
Oh boy, it's a game where you can shit yourself.
