The starting character is way outa balance.
Medics start off with First Aid, which does nothing but add 5hp to healing. But really when u think about it .......
A medic has to diagnose who is injured first before he can heal a person.
What your left with is an attack of 10% and a medic reduced to searching and guessing from a list of people of who to heal, hoping someone hasn't beaten you to it...... that have a diagnosis skill.

I had to do that with my doctor, so get over it...

I really don't see a suggestion here. All you say is that it is "outta balance" but you do nothing to "Diagnose" the problem.
And face it, we have all had to do it that way. Call us old and cynical but there is no way that the starting classes should be easy. It is supposed to be hard, so that it weeds out those who have very little will to actually play a game that takes time and effort. AKA see that thread with the guy who played for two days and quit because he wanted everything "now."

um the suggestion is to have Medics start with the diagnosis skill rather than first aid, I am sorry if my post was confusing.
and yes I am doing it the 'same way' as you guys, and it is pure luck, just got my basic firearms because it's so frustrating to waste AP guessing on who needs healing.
Much easier to be a cop with 30% on pistols and accumulate xp.
It's not that I 'want everything now', it's the principle of being a doctor; what seperates a doctor/medic from a cop/firefighter, being able to quickly identify and diagnose the problem allowing for those who need care the most get it the fastest, not be reduced to guessing on blind luck to who needs healing. It makes no sense.

I'm with the newbie. There's no sense in being able to heal extra damage if you don't know who's injured. In my opinion, it would make more sense if the Doctor started with Diagnosis instead of First Aid. Really, First Aid is a horrible skill to start with, because it effectively reduces how much xp you can get. If you don't have it, you can heal the same guy more times for more experience.
