Err, hi.
Suppose you could use a newspaper and combine it with a bottle of beer, wine or fuel to make a Molotov cocktail? The incendiary device would have, say, 10% chance each of setting someone in the vicinity (zeds, humans, yourself) on fire, which means 2 damage per AP spent as the unlucky humanoid flails around. The maximum amount of people that can catch on fire per Molotov cocktail is 5, per say.
If thrown in a building, there's a 20% chance that the building will catch on fire, and every 12 hours or so, will be damaged as though it were ransacked and eventually become a ruin if not put out.
When someone is on fire, or in a burning building, they have another button which says 'Put out flames', that has a 25% chance of success. If they put themselves out, the message "You roll about, extinguishing the fire enveloping you." If it's a building, then it's "You quickly smother the flames with a large blanket before it can cause anymore damage."
Like? No like? This is my first idea, so it might not be to your tastes, but what the heck.

Hmm, is beer and wine among the flammable of drinks?
Anyway, not too sure about the burning buildings down to ruins. Since we don't have a construction option it seems that the building in question is gone forever.
Plus you'll get a whole crowd who just want to blow sh*t up. They'd level Malton in a week.

I know wine is flammable to some extent. Not too sure about beer though. What I meant by ruined was like when a zombie ransacks the place 5 times or so. Anyone with Construction and a toolbox can patch things up. But it is true that Malton has its fair share of pyromaniacs, maybe this can be limited by letting people only carry one Molotov cocktail at a time, seeing as those things are hard to handle without something going awry?

In order to be flammable, a drink needs a high alcohol content, and most beers and wines cant stack up enough to make a proper molotov cocktail. But thats not the point.
If your in a bar, you could manufacture tonnes of these things and, well, toss them indiscriminatley as you do so, making them great for greifers - from my experience, the tastiest and most tactical harmans hide out in low profile, but landmarked buildings such as bars, schools and churches, so that they dont draw attention while still being able to find their way home. Also, dealing group damage is just unfair, as it pretty much eleminates the horde advantage that zombies (seldom) Have.

I think fire is a great idea for zombies and humans alike. It could cost zombies higher AP to get up after being burned. It would also ruin buildings causing them to need repairs before barricading.
Zeds however would not be able to set fires. However, maybe once on fire they could attempt to "hug" an opponent or walk into a building thus having the cance to set it ablaze.
There is already gasoline in the game. I think some of you folks are splitting hairs with the "beer/wine" thing. Fire is an intersting and eciting idea.
