Hi there,
I use the wonderful UD toolbar, however, I have a quick question about attacking while using that interface.
For example, last night I returned to Lazarus Hospital to find two zeds and no barricades. I 'caded a bit, then decided to take a whack at the zeds (in hopes of ridding one to stop them from lurching). I got lucky for two reasons, 1) I am a doctor using a knife (this was actually the first time I've attacked something), 2) the zed had 4 HP. Thus, I was able to kill him, but the other zed had 45 HP. If I had attacked the zed with greater HP, I wouldn't have been as much a help as I ended up being.
My question is thus, how do I differentiate between which zed to attack. With UD toolbar, when I mouse-over the "there are two zombies here" it gives me the option to attack, but not the option to choose which zed.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Dr. Cobb

Hehe, thats the beauty of the attack system against Zeds, im afraid. I guess its assumed that since Zeds are generally in a bad state anyway, and that they usually travel in packs, They're kinda hard to tell apart. Therefore, you cant differentiate between them unless they're on your contact lists (and you therefore know what they look like).
Though (i might be wrong here) I think you automatically target the weakest one anyway. Oh, and if you scan a zed, you attack the last one you scanned.
By the way, since your a doctor, after you get free running you might wanna invest in Diagnosis. Not only is it good for telling when to heal your human buddies and get the full 10HP out of each FAK, it also lets you check out the state of zombies, too.... and, if you ever do get munched, you can still use it as a zombie too >:3

As I doctor, I started with diagnosis. The UD toolbar, however, does not show the HP for zeds. Does the regular interface show their HP?

it was my thinking that when attacking a group of zed sit always targets the zed with the lowest HP. that seems the way it has always worked for me anyway.

I think the stack is based on whichever zombies acted most recently. So, you always target the zombie that has been offline the longest. DNA scanning is the only exception to this that I know of (since it would be silly to scan the same zombie over and over), but I don't think anyone knows how that works.
Anyway, outside of attacking them, there is no way to see how many HP a zombie has left. Likewise, unless a specific zombie is on your contacts list, you can't differentiate them from any other zombie in the area.
